Wimbledon, of course!
Want Andy to win, Djokovic probably will though. Uniqlo twat that he is. Would be very happy is Tsonga goes far too. Hope Sharapova wins the ladies tournament.
She's a cheat.
Wimbledon is great but I really struggle with the crowd, they're such cunts.
Plenty more fish in the sea though m8 xx
He's been looking great so far this season, Murray will be in the mix as well but for no particular reason i don't see him making the final, i'd love to be proved wrong.
Nadal will suffer another shock defeat.
Look out for Fed challenging, for me it's probably the last year he could properly challenge for wimbledon again.
But what with Andy Murray being the reigning champ and, y'know, the WORLD CUP being on I'm struggling to get in any way excited about it. Hope Murray crashes out in the first round after realising how baffling it was to hire a coach seven years his senior.
Hope Djokovic wins.
brilliant, isn't it?
Tour de france next week, too!

adverts for the British GP and the Commonwealth Games!
What a time to be alive.
Murray will put up a fight but I can see Wawrinka maybe adding a 2nd Slam.
Tipping Sloane Stephens too for a 1st Slam.
Thought she'd do okay. D'oh.
she's just been consistent in slams + is still dining out on that win over Serena
I've got a ground pass for Wednesday, can't wait hope it doesn't rain etc.
-think the men's draw will be pretty wide open among the top few players again. Djokovic is the favourite but: is carrying a wrist injury, still doesn't move that well on grass, has been massively unclutch in big matches over the last couple of years. used to hate him but would be pretty happy if he won here given how good he is and how much he's underachieved lately.
-hope people don't attribute it to MURRESMO if Murray loses early. they obviously will though. hope Murray doesn't lose early.
-interested to see if Mauresmo brings out the more attacking side of Murray's game, given how good his net game is and how unwilling he is to come to the net and how good her approach game was as a player it seems like a good fit there.
-Nadal will be vulnerable in the first week again i guess but if he gets to the second week on the worn down slower courts i'd probs have him as favourite.
-it feels like time for Serena to win another Wimbledon.
-think Camila Giorgi could beat Sharapova in the 3rd round, has already beaten her once this year and has the dream game for grass.
-Kvitova looked like she was sort of playing herself into form at Roland Garros, she has a really easy draw here and i hope she doesn't let it slip.
- think that Halep's game will lend itself pretty well to grass too and if there's no post Rolly G slump she has a nice path through to the semi finals.
-Madison Keys won her first title @Eastbourne last week and if she can keep that momentum she could go pretty far here too.
-glad that Azarenka's back but probably not that much of a contender here.
everyone should read this though http://www.sportsonearth.com/article/80687504/a-handy-guide-to-keeping-sexism-out-of-womens-tennis-coverage#!1iIQg
seems to have developed a lot of power
demolishing her world no. 53 opponent atm.
louisa thomas is so good at that kind of article
He looked absolutely terrified the poor lad.
crumbled in the first, is getting better and better though. C'mon!
"GO ON, MY SON!" when Gael Monfils is playing.
was at venus' match on wednesday and she was out 10 minutes late and immediately took a bathroom break and then lost the first 3 games, was worried she was gonna be too ill and it would be a total blowout, she absolutely killed it from that point onwards though. so great.
also dimitrov-dolgopolov should be good. if dimitrov doesn't happen now then he never will
such a high standard, could've been a slam final. i'll be sad if Kvitova doesn't follow this up.
Dim-Dog looks like it's about to go to a 5th too. i am on a roll
Looks like Dimitrov v Murray in the QF now if Murray beats Anderson in the last 16. Dimi's got bags of talent but I think it's a bit soon for him at Wimbledon with the crowd against him - although maybe he might thrive off that.
Murray's just been broken but 1-4 up in the 3rd here. I thought Agut might have put up more of a fight today given his good form and that he won on grass in s'Hertogenbosch, but he's looked rather one dimensional today.
You can so tell that the monkey is off his back. Playing with so much swagger.
Irvine Welsh's twitter-a-long is brilliant too.
it's all he talks about.
enjoying Murray right now tho
Andrew Castle flirting with Marion Bartoli was proper cringe, even Sue Barker looked embarrassed.
big fan of Kukushkin generally
would love to see him get through this. Nadal's looking a little wobbly even.
I don't want banter. And stop using fucking stupid terms too.
just because I've been catching up last night and this morning - Murray has hulked up hasn't he? Like genuinely built like an athlete at this point.
just looks like she has no confidence at the moment, footwork all over the place, stupid errors.
Cornet is hilarious though and lives for these really intense & dramatic matches.
than a match between two players who can't even get the ball toss right more than one time in two.
Licki looks even flakier that in last year's final, which I wouldn't have though possible. I'd like her to take out Ivanovic (because I'd like anyone to take out Ivanovic), but unless the courts bake and speed up, and she rediscovers that monster serving and hitting then she aint living the fairytale again this year. I hope she does though, because when that game is firing it's what grass court women's tennis should look like.
since all his opponents were either too inconsistent to pose a threat or had no weapons to put him under pressure. Best that can be said is that he executed them all with minimal fuss, although dropping serve twice to Bautista was a bit of a mis-step.
Personally I look for clues in his form in his forehand, particularly cross court, which is looking OK, but still a bit underpowered, and his serve obviously. His second serve still has a bullseye written all over it, and he'll either have to make a terrific proportion of first serves or up his game on the second to have a chance of retaining the title.
Anderson is the first weapony opponent he'll face, but Andy's good at blunting big servers, plus Big Kev will put minimal pressure on Andy's serve. Could be a chance to test his mettle in a couple of tiebreaks. If Murray comes through today in straights we'll be able to say he's in good form, and he'll probably need to be to get through Dimitrov without making a meal of it. I'd suspect he's going to donk off a set today though. One bad service game and he'll have a job on his hands.
First serving stats good. Forehand good. Second serve still shit. But a mentally strong bit of finishing.
he won't win but I love the guy
hope jimmy connors stops going MMMMM after shots
This title's his.
tsonga must've felt like he was playing a brick wall.
Djokovic reminds me of those bosses you used to get on old sega games. He'd kill you loads of times, then you'd finally damage him, but then he just morphs into the next stage of the boss level where he's in a tank throwing grenades at you. So good.
you need to consider how well his game will hold up when he's put under serious pressure from someone who is capable of it. Certainly both Murray and Nadal could prise open the odd crack in his game when it shows up. Jo Willy is just too prone to letting the top guys off the hook.
However he is serving like a dream (although still amusingly volleying like the British number 20) and returning well too, so I for one can't see how Murray could protect his second serve from taking a right pasting at the same time as getting enough breaks. Muzza's only chance perhaps might be if the crowd support really starts to get on Djokovic's tits (as well it might, he must be, unfairly, the least loved former champion there's been for ages).
Nadal of course is a different matter, but in a rerun of the usual Nadal v Djokovic slam final routine I think the form this year points Nole's way.
I want that semi-final.
if Kyrgios doesn't take out the trash today
if he wants to beat him he's gonna have to play the best match of his career so far and just blow him off the court. will be pretty exciting and long overdue if he does do that tbh, sick of the stasis in the men's game and the feebleness of the second tier players (apart from Stanislas)
and multiply that a few times for Murray.
It could be a fantastic match, but I agree Dimitrov will have to properly come of age to come out the winner.
only 2 singles matches on there today and still people can't be bothered to watch Halep, she's so slept on. really hope she makes the final from that half.
Halep-Kvitova final would be potentially amazing
to a state where nobody sits on the courts and everyone just sets out their picnic in Aorangi to watch the big screen.
without even acknowledging her opponent or anything. just went and sat on her chair. went on to win the game, cheatyest thing ever
by setting it next to all her other strange injury moments.
She is a really weird character, cultivating the happy-go-lucky Centre Court darling image when out and about, but with I understand a reputation as a hard-headed bastard behind the scenes.
In her defence though, breakpoint down in that set was basically equivalent to 40-0 in any normal game between two normal players. She who holds (once) wins.
not a big fan of most parts of her game but love it when she starts hammering that forehand and when she hits a scrambling forehand winner. also love how angry she looks most of the time
man that final game was exhausting
every picture of Kerber is of her fistpumping with her gob open.
really enjoying it
one of the best matches I've seen in a long time
especially after so many horrible tight losses earlier this year
Let's see if he can get two more...
lost the game but still
nadal looks ready to kill him :D
Kid's got a lot of heart. That setpoint was balls personified.
RF jacket with the number of times he has won wimbledon? Honestly think that it one of the worst things to ever happen in sport, absolutely killed him for me
as Djokovic's bag covered in smiley badges to mark his Masters wins.
probably just told to wear them by sponsors innit
He is nailing all the key points. Really impressive.
in straights at RG three weeks ago. Whole new ballgame now hopefully.
to diss his own mum in a post-match interview!
is about the best day's tennis I've seen scheduled.
Murray needs a completely new strategy and fast.
when he did a "Cmon!" after winning the very first point, which turned out to be one of two unforced errors Dimitrov hit in that whole set.
First Hewitt, now this prat with the sleeve tat and manicured head
Looks like one of those weird muscle tape things.
He's 19 by the way. PRetty sure he's allowed to act like a bit of a twat.
there is no sleeve tat, must have imagined it
Henman sounds like he's phoning in from the toilet.
Dmitrov still looking the stronger player though.
definitely seems to be making Murray work for it.
He's outplaying him.
This is the next big thing coming on up. It's exciting!
Started strong, never let up. Hardly missed, and in the end didn't just beat Murray he smashed his game up.
with all this crap about Andy not being at his best. Just ask the bloke about how well he played.
that none of "The Big Four" make the semis of a slam.
If I knew I didn't still have 8 world cup games left to go
murray wasn't very good. thought dimitrov was really good but was more impressed/surprised by his mental strength to tough out that tie break and then the third set.
djokovic with 2 grass slams and 0 claycourt slams is gonna be weird
That win will take Dimitrov ahead of Murray in the rankings and tip Andy out of the top ten for the first time in six years. He also doesn't hold a tour title for the first time since he won his first and he hasn't beaten a top ten player since last year's Wimbledon final.
All looks surprisingly grim for him to be honest.
At least she didn't pretend to have a brain tumour on matchpoint, or shit herself on court, so there are positives to be taken.
no doubt both players will bring close to their best game.
Halep's the more talented player but Bouchard's hyper-aggression could see her through on grass.
less sure about the other SF. hope Kvitova can sustain the same intensity now that she's playing her pal. i like Safarova a lot but her winning would be a bit '...' given she's a slightly less good version of Kvitova. her level has been really high this tournament though. kind of ridiculous that she went 6 years without even reaching a slam second week before this year
then she'll invite Nigel Farage to watch from her players' box?
for matchup reasons as much as anything. with all the streaky attacking players around it's refreshing to have someone who can defend as well as her
1) That all of the four men's quarter finals went against the player I wanted to win.
2) That I may have to not only support Federer in one match, but possibly two.
3) How utterly soul-destroying watching Raonic "play tennis" is.
defending almost as well as Nole and with less falling over
In terms of momentum
this match is crap
this match is appalling. starting to see federer as favourite
excited about the prospect of a Nole-Fed final. most entertaining of the big 4 matchups and would be their first slam final since 2007
it'll be a mess. no Raonic though please
But I think raonic will be tough, helluva serve on him. I'd imagine fed to have too much for him but I would not rule out another upset
centre court is the emptiest i've ever seen it. Is it the world cup's fault or what?
to eat or drink. It usually fills up after about half an hour.
and that's because nobody enjoys watching Raonic play except Ivan Ljubicic.
If people have been in there since 1.00pm they're going to need to get some food at some point. I guess that could take an hour.
you'd go in to watch the last rites. And personally if I had tickets to see Federer on CC then I'd be there for every point, but then I am a proper tennis nut. I would have no problem sitting there for seven hours straight, possibly only nipping out for the odd two games for a piss. You take your food with you, buying stuff from the restaurants is a mug's game.
You're right that a lot of people leave between matches and then drift back, but yesterday more people than usual did so, and that has to be down to how hideously unappetising Raonic's game is.
something really claustrophobic about it. especially compared to how open the rest of the grounds are
No 1 court feels less claustrophobic, but is a real heat bowl.
this will be like federer/a-rod matchups. raonic hitting the ball dead hard and that but federer showing his class.
What a supreme sportsman
Sportsman is a bit more problematic, because he's as capable of being a snidey arsehole as the next man.
That said, for pretty much the first time in a decade I've enjoyed rooting for him in a match and will be rooting for him again on Sunday. It would actually be pretty neat if he nailed one last Wimbledon title to complete his final slam haul, against Djokovic, who traditionally always puts him to the test.
It would have been perfect if he'd been able to take it to five. Then again, if you need someone to save three set points in a row, then there's only one guy you'd put at the top of your wishlist.
And only one set dropped in total.
That's pretty awesome.
Saw him win the US Open boys' final in 2010, and he's been a fave ever since. Plus it really is about time the Bryans hit their use by date. How one of them (who cares which) got away with telling the umpire "you're a terrible umpire" the other day in a mixed match I have no idea.
anything to maximize Petra's chance of not messing this up
them crosscourt backhands <3
actually cant stand Wimbledon commentary
but I find myself getting actively angry about Inverdale's highlights programme, which just seems to get worse and worse. Pretty much the only people you can rely on to say something reasonable are Marion Bartoli, Peter Fleming and Pam Shriver, and even they are getting overwhelmed by the sheer garbage that everybody else spouts.
don't think Bouchard did that much wrong really, she's an amazing matchplayer but doesn't have the game to compete with peak Kvitova. Halep in the final mightve been slightly closer.
hope Kvitova can follow this up with sustained slam consistency now
Just grateful she smacked Bouchard out of the park. Sadly I suspect Genie is just the type to take that as a challenge and she'll probably win every slam for the next decade just to prove a point.
the BBC decide to not cover the men's doubles on any of the channels available for five minutes.
But two top 100 singles players >> two novelty tennis failures
The Bryans unbelievably have just tried to cheat by having the same player return two points in a row!
that's quite funny though
its like they've literally never seen tennis before
backhand slice battle!
Stop stressing me out
Nole's bhdtl letting him down on big points, it's so much worse than it was when he won Wimbledon in 2011
I'd love to see fed win but think he struggles if it goes to 5 sets with the top players now
Predominantly white middle, high and ruling classes, preening in their branded shades, all dressed up, politely clapping.
totally corrupt man, totally corrupt.
Pointing out all the oh so self important people in the crowd at every opportunity.
Brand Beckham in attendance too, isn't this all so utterly wonderful.
Although he still can't break him
enjoying all the great serving though
And saves three break points just to lose the game
I'd be amazed if he could back now
Djokovic has been the better player nearly all match
and it looked like he cracked a bit once that his challenge was dismissed.
I just turned it on, looks pretty tasty
I wish he wore Uniqlo then I could support him unequivocally
Good game this
and finished in time for me to go meet a lady who fancies me. yaaaaaaay
chuffed for Novak
Wanted fed to win but Novak played brilliant, great champion
