But in this climate this would drive you insane...
"Will work for food"?
and put my name as "the game".
If they figure it out i'll consider it working for them
but after a few months of sending applications and getting nothing back, it's harder to motivate myself. I've just stopped applying for stuff full-stop. It was just getting me down. Constantly balancing the misery of my awful job with the misery of awful job-hunting. Probably about due a sea-change.
so all I do is change the two line 'personal statement' thing at the top to be relevant to what I'm applying for. The rest of it, experience and education etc stays the same. It's the cover letters that take the time, though the more things I apply for, the more stock paragraphs I have in reserve.
A job I could do: 5 minutes
And there's an hour and a half left in the day.
So about an hour and a half.
and then just always send the relevant one which is to hand. Yesss.
and then a dream jobs kind of cv that i'll never use
up to an hour i guess? mostly to tweak or take out things
flip flopping between careers has given me a bit of a naff cv...friends who have stayed in an industry... computer programming or whatever have insanely tonk cvs full of pure hard fact & golden words
