Feeling a bit low about Westeros today.
Maybe I *should* start reading spoilers.
i watched s01e01 cos my friends were banging on about GoT and i fell asleep for most of it, woke up to see the kid fall out of the window and promptly declared it Not For Me. so when everyone was banging on about the red wedding i decided to watch the scene to ruin it for me and stop me ever being tempted to sink 60 hours of my life into watching the show.
anyway, finally decided i was jealous of all the people getting excited about the mountain popping a chap's eyes out and am now watching GoT. watched all of s01 in one sitting on saturday and decided it was good, thanks for asking
Sometimes I wish I was single. (srsly)
i live with my girlfriend. she was out for the day AND had already seen s01 before, so now we're watching from s02 together
probably the most romantic thing I've ever read.
all i said is that the mountain pops a guys eyes out, which anyone who's been on the internet knows. you've narrowed it down to teh season!!11!1
all the horrible shit goes on in this show and on some level I'm STILL following the rules of a normal show, and assuming this is the bad bit but at some point afterwards the non-awful characters will prevail.
It's never going to happen, is it.
If all the ruling classes can be purged through a wave of internecine violence, then ultimately, it's sort of a Good Thing.
Long live the USSW.
Now you know.
and fail, but end up bringing him down and locking him up.
Why don't you go wank over some books, eh?
But have been told what happens in this one by three different people, each time completely unsolicited.
having said that, I'm filming a short film next month and the opposite lead is an actor in it so I should probably watch a bit so as to be able to exchange pleasantries. but I inevitably won't. He probably hates it too.
Stuff like Lord Of The Rings really turns me off. This seems like an even slower version, with occasional BIG SHOCK MOMENTS. Is that fair, or is it actually a proper top-tier TV show?
I'm probably not going to watch it anyway, but I do sometimes feel like maybe I ought to. Then I see screengrabs of it and feel ill for ever considering it.
It's got dragons and Kings and bollocks
then it all kind of ramps up
It's like Lord of the Rings in the way that Alien is like Star Wars.
Not worth my time. Cheers.
where it isn't the story you want to see, it is "what happens next". Hence people shitting themselves over spoilers. If you find out what happens, then the whole thing is ruined. Lost was in that category, I got the impression not even the people making it knew what was going to happen next. I am glad I got out of Lost early on as I saw a rundown of the whole series in 30 minutes somewhere, it is fucking insane.
I've had some massive spoilers for this season and it's definitely made me less bothered about watching it. Not because they sound shit (well, one sounds quite wank tbh tbf) but because I won't have that moment I had where I'm looking intently at the screen because I know something big is about to happen but have no idea what it could be. That's the best bit!
but there's tons more to the show than that; I think the Lost comparison is way off.
so time will tell I suppose.
is more than strong enough to merit a rewatch.
you should try watching it and find out for yourself! =)
who watch it while their orc army is drying. Hate this dragon zombie bollocks, and one of the characters is apparently a talking dog ffs. The writers are clearly making it up as they go along.
not that I haven't been enjoying it on twitter
I'm just myself on there :(
One of my workmates was talking about how someone called The Hound and his mate Ariel go round calling people cunts.
can you take this outside.
I'm still grieving here.
going around calling people cunts?
not sure how to feel about this
