Maybe Bedford I guess.
Guess they're mostly shit.
Absolutely nothing there but the town though, once you're out of that it's basically Deliverance.
But Carmarthen has nothing there
Carmarthen the town is quite depressing indeed, Bridgend without the suicide :/
and it's in pembrokeshire 100% CONFIRMED
"all of the counties named after towns are the shittest towns/cities that have counties named after them"
and because it's mentioned in a few old books and has a cathedral, loads of people seem to think it's going to be picturesque. It's a terrible shithole.
It was no worse than say, Guildford.
but also most of the time I spent in Gloucester was on Friday nights, walking through the worst bits, so that probably didn't help.
Not named after it's town though
Ha none of these shit towns even come close to Bridgend.
End this thread immediately.
Lincoln is also very nice.
both of which are nice
than Oxford and Cambridge, I reckon.
Worth a visit?
steep hill, lots of weird bookshops, imp. Well good.
Thought it was an exaggeration when I booked a hotel at the top of it but that hill doesn't fuck about.
and nominate Huntingdonshire. It's not even a proper county.
East Lothian (Haddingtonshire)
West Lothian (Linlithgowshire)
Bet everyone there has wigs! Hahahahahahaha.
one's that don't count, off the top of my head:
tyne and wear
east and west midlands
Think it turned out that only Somerset wasn't named after a town.
shame I missed it as it sounds both fun and educational.
tyne, wear, kent and mersey are rivers
northumberland, cumbria and the midlands are surely the winners here
Also - Hampshire, Rutland and Shropshire
(I know it's a place, no idea whether its in Wiltshire though)
