I reckon it's about five floors for me. Maybe four if I'm feeling particularly lazy.
going up, three floors probs
going down, fifteen
Live on the 9th floor though so fuck taking the stairs.
I never think to take the stairs in a hotel though.
Can't be bothered with the waiting/awkward silence/cramped space ritual of lifts. Will only use if I need to, trolley full of booze, escaping the bad guy from Terminator 2, etc
I'm a two-steps at a time sort of stair climber too. Might just start trying to jump up them, that'll go down well at the train station.
always stairs up to the top of that fifty storey building, aye?
MA BAWS PAL
fucking live in the shard do you?
aye and I carry my shopping up to the top two stairs at a time
49 storey, stairs
never get a lift down though
so i'll always avoid lifts if possible.
That being sqaid when i went up the empire state building i opted for the lift, so that's my tipping point, big fuck off skyscrapers.
I have this convo regularly. I'm on the sixth floor. Completely valid.
V annoying when it stops at floor 2/3. V. Not acceptable.
as my hip's been fucked.
normally 4 floors up, 8 down
If the lift was there and vacant - could be tempted for a nice little treat.
Probably 10+ stairs to get the lift down.
unless it's like the eighth floor or it's a meeting with a group of others who are taking the lift PEOPLE ARE SO LAZY
Also walking up two stairs at a time is quite undignified you rat urchins.
How much do you think I value my dignity?
Fly through them fuckers like the graceful wind dancing through the trees.
Knock over an old lady or two, wevs
saw a guy get on the bus, stay on for literally about 30 seconds so it took him up a short hill (university ave.) then get off again. It wasn't as if it just happened to be passing and he thought he'd save himself a t apparent.
Still, what would you do?
It would have been three but my old job moved to the 4th floor, so it felt a bit lazy laughing off the extra floor for the lift. Then we moved to the 9th floor so i got the lift every day and as such got to my desk five minutes late every day and then put on a stone.
As a sub thread, how do people feel about those escalator ramp things in supermarkets? Only proper knobs use them when they don't have a trolley and there's some stairs as well, yeah?
Going up: 4+
Going down: 20 or something, would have to be a lot of stairs.
I'm not sure how high it'd have to be to use the lift as my building is the biggest one I'm regularly in. I think the only time I ever take the lift is in hotels, where as TheWza rightly points out the stairs are usually impossible to find.
