I love playing football, but only if my team mates are at a similar level of ability as me (utterly useless). Otherwise I'm just letting them down and nobody passes to me and I end up feeling like shit or being stuck in goal.
I think solo activities can be enjoyable even if you are crap at them, but when doing stuff with other people if you are crap there is always the fear that you are letting others down. Even worse is when they assume that you want to be better. I don't mind being crap per se, but I don't like the thought that it could be holding others back and pissing them off in some cases.
Wish there could be a football league for crap people, but everyone who plays seems to be good at it to some degree. There's probably a lot of people out there who are missing out on doing stuff they might really enjoy because they are crap at it.
Being crap always overrides potential for enjoyment, basically.
