'Juvenile Common Ravens are among the most playful of bird species. They have been observed to slide down snowbanks, apparently purely for fun. They even engage in games with other species, such as playing catch-me-if-you-can with wolves, otters and dogs. Common Ravens are known for spectacular aerobatic displays, such as flying in loops or interlocking talons with each other in flight.
They are also one of only a few wild animals who make their own toys. They have been observed breaking off twigs to play with socially.'
Plus it's hella goth.
so not sure if they count

Is that allowed?

harking back to the evolution thread, dawkins' The Greatest Show On Earth has a great bit about domesticating foxes.
basically, wolves and foxes are two branches of the evolutionary tree from an early dog like animal. the wolves split into more human friendly ones and more wild ones. the human friendly ones were then domesticated and selectively bred, whence came all dogs.
in russia in the 20th century for a lark, they got a bunch of foxes and selectively bred them, only mating the most friendly and docile ones, until they had a fox that was essentially a dog - all the characteristics of a dog, but genetically relatively distant; certainly more distant from a similar sized dog than a st bernard is from a chihuahua (fuck, spelt that right first time!).
anyway, what was most interesting about it is that whilst breeding the foxes for their domestic personalities, they also started to resemble domestic dogs physically, which was used by dawkins to demonstrate that genetic characteristics are sometimes bundled together (eg a short snout and not minding humans are linked, as an example that might not be, in itself, true, but which as a concept works), which shows why some things that in and of themselves are not "useful" happen through evolution.
thanks for listening guys, and back to prawns
but those foxes were still nutbags though weren't they?
possibly there were some problems because their gene pool was so shallow
to act as watchdogs for military installations. The gentle and docile thing was just accidental...
That'd have to be pretty sweet. Some tank logistics, sure, but worth the effort.
there's been a rise in Russians nicking squirrels from parks and keeping them at home:

I've considered a farm. One where I can get other people to do the work and never sell/kill any animals. It's workable.
Are they? No. (I could go for a hero)
but one was recently born in Ireland. From a love that dare not speak its name I imagine.
That is adorable. Yep, I'll go for one of those. Thanks.
“He has been a great source of craic for the lads in the pub,” Murphy told the Irish Farmers Journal last week, using the Celtic word for “gossip.”
