I'm a big fan of Ernest Borgnine
deffo my fav joke tied to a celebrity
You wouldn't believe the celebrities who did cameos!
Dustin Hoffman, Michael Jackson.
Of course, they didn't use their real names, but you
could tell it was them.
Which is a reference to the fact Michael Jackson and Hoffman both used pseudonyms for their guest appearances on the show.
U2 the former, Steve Martin the latter. That was a good episode for guests.
ricky gervais would've been my joke answer too
Then Albert Brooks as Hank Scorpio. Although he'd done a couple of other episodes as Jacque and Brad Goodman by that point and probably more since.
Or, at least, his is the best episode built around a cameo, I think.
because he was a celebrity in his own right
Although I'd have written Reclusive Author, Thomas Pynchon.
and Steven Hawking. Don't really know the celebs who didn't play themselves, despite being a massive nerd in this field.
the Michael Jackson one was probably the best otherwise
yeah Kelsey Grammar wins surely? Especially when it went full on Frasier that one time (I'm purposely ignoring the 2nd time they did it)
Failing that, James Brown was pretty sharp `Hey hey wait a minute, hold on here... this grandstand wasn't double bolted!`
