Me and the BF are going to meet a friend in the pub in a bit and will decide where to go for lunch then. We quite fancy the idea of an Indian buffet but will have to see what our friend's in the mood for. Could also go for something with really good chips/potato on the side.
Going to have: dunno, not really got any food in, need to go t'shop. Might have a drink before I go though, keep telling myself I need to hydrate more but then forgetting.
Got some barley in the cupboard so might buy a ton of veg and do a stew thing.
Yoghurt and strawberries for breakfast
Poached egg on toast with steamed brocolli and asparagus topped with whole grain mustard and creme fraiche for lunch
Homemade tiffin cake of mixed chocolate, smashed up crunchies, biscotti and dark chocolate digestives with dried cherries and cranberries for coffee snack
Will be having risotto with mushrooms and celery for dinner
Mini pork pie, bag of crisps and an egg and bacon sub roll for lunch
3 digestives with a cup of tea when I got home from work
Roast beef with various vegetables for tea
banana
scrambled eggs with chilli con carne
unsalted peanuts
juice (celery, cucumber, beetroot, tomato, blueberry, lime)
strawberries & cream
assorted dried fruit and nuts
black bean tostadas
Weetabix, crisps, & a twix in the morning, had friends round for lunch of slow-cooked silverside of beef that I'd soaked in wine overnight, with yorkshire puds, roast spuds, carrot & parsnip mash, purple broccoli & cabbage with toffee & pecan meringue for dessert. Now looking forward to the leftovers.
Had a vodka red bull cupcake yesterday, tasted like my 18 year-old-selfs vomit.
what do 16 year old Thai boys eat? Not what we had for dinner, that's for sure. Poor kid. New lodger arrived today, from Thailand to stay with us for 3 weeks - we were expecting a 50 year old man but he can't speak any English and didn't want to stay on his own with us, so he swapped with one of the students.
First meal of roast chicken and vegetables (squash, red onion, red pepper & courgette) didn't go down well at all. Going to have to start cooking carbs in the evening.
On the plus side, he can cook and - partly thanks to his horrendous first experience I expect - has said he will cook us some dinners.
Going to try and make him something he'll like though, obvs.
Playing the thread though:
HAD:
Scrambled eggs, sausage, black pudding on toast (been making more bread, almost happy with it now)
Bread and cheese (got to eat all this bread)
Roast chicken & veg as mentioned above (with bread. got to eat all this fucking bread)
Going to make sausage rolls now, but not eat them.
some straight sausage
some with black pudding
some with chorizo
might have some cornflakes later re-watching Game of Thrones ready for tomorrow.
On a black pudding-related tangent, I did sausages with black pudding mash (mashed potatoes, with black pud added to the mix) the other day. Would definitely recommend it.
