I just can't do it after any pints.
I have drunk pints on a long cycle - peer pressure - it was hell.
run - 4 + equally stupid
haven't been drinking
...then after work cycled 7 miles to play football. I was fucking shit unsurprisingly.
Woke up at 5am - had a nice massive social lunch at 1pm - drank 3 bottles of Super Bock and half a bottle of wine.
Then at about 4pm they asked me if I wanted to play football - erm, yeah, alright, you got any boots? We then went to watch Porto v Napoli (had another beer - what was I doing?)
Kicked off at 10.30pm. I was so tired and ended up wearing size 9 boots. I'm size 11.
I was so tired I nearly cried. And they all turned out to be really good, very fast and were all fancy dans. So I just did what anyone else would do and ran about kicking them.
Managed to completely ruin my back in the process but just soldiered through it and haven't been able to do any form of excercise since and have to drive to work with a little pillow at the small of my back.
TL;DR slightly bragging story about a lovely day out and being very tired.
Then hightailed it to Putney to play in a touch rugby league.
I thought I was going to die, and managed to almost get into a fight in a non contact sport.
I did however score a try with an outrageous O'Driscoll esque show and go, so swings and roundabouts
and then gone on to accomplish anything, never mind vaguely athletic feats
The not do any work or ANYTHING this afternoon.

still determined to go for a run at 6pm
(Trouble is I just wanna go out after work now)
but when i did it would always 100% lead to going directly back to the pub after work.
if i were to go out for a beer at lunchtime on a non-working day there's nothing that's going to get me to exercise or to the gym. i probably wouldn't even get to the cinema or what have you.
