Feel a bit sick.
spent almost all of last night doing chores. cleaned the kitchen, hoovered, unclogged the sink, washed a load of different kitchen things, polished my shoes (!), did laundry, and tidied the room. felt good. i think i used to not care about things being CLEAN as long as they were TIDY, but that is changing.
then spent 30 minutes talking to the baby bump. other parents-to-be did this, right? the books say it's important. i enjoy it. the dog thinks i am talking to him most of the time i think.
It's a lovely thing to do. It's good to enjoy the whole experience so it's important for you two, as much as anything else.

essays due at 3pm today. i feel like they are really quite shit but then i always feel like that about my essays and normally it turns out they're great. on the other hand i just compared these ones with the ones i wrote last term and they are definitely a lot more shit. oh well.
and probably pass out by dinnertime. i want to be a student forever.
Probably for the best - I'd fallen asleep on the sofa when the cancellation call came through.
Today I'm doing as little work as possible and going home not a minute past five.

napped through the second half of the Man Utd game last night and didn't sleep until 4am when I got to my own bed. Feel absolutely dire today. Don't need this.

I got a couple of texts from her late last night, they were nice enough but they put me back in a mood.
I awoke in a bad mood, turned on the radio and tangled up in blue was the first song i heard, that put me in a really good mood, I am still in a good mood.

Reducing contact to a minimum is probably the best way to go, to be honest.
It's horrible but the more contact there is, the slower the recovery.
I am from the 'absolutely fuck all contact' school of though on these matters.
Glasgow's a small place though, it's surprising we don't bump into each other more often.
this week has gone quite quick so far. I like it.
spent the morning trying to come up with a really neat way of doing something at work on a database. worked really well when testing, well pleased, went to use it on the proper database and it's like "nahhhhh we disabled the ability to do that unlucky". so I have to do it in a total shithouse way instead now. this company.

I went to look at a room last night. The people were nice and it was cheaper than where I am now and in a better location and had DOUBLE GLAZING.
But I'd need to take it pretty much asap, and my current tenancy agreement is one where I need to find someone to take my room before I can stop paying rent on it, and I'm a little concerned about that. The flat itself is nice but the people who live there are really untidy (I've complained at length about this) so I dunno if I can take the risk of not finding someone. But it is like £100/month cheaper so it might work out to my benefit so idk aaahhh
Although there's something nice about seeing your breath when you're laying in bed.
Gotta go get my foot looked at so it can be operated on. Somehow convince my employers that I'm doing everything they've asked of me before leaving (I haven't). Then I get to drive a van later and maybe go to IKEA! What a day.

Off to Manchester tomorrow for 2 days.
So waiting at home for the guy to come and fix it. But I can't work from home because my computer is broken and in the repair shop. Just reading DiS on my phone instead of being in a long work meeting, not bad but I'll have to make the time up.
would it be rude to call HR and ask for my score? Then I can see if it's worth me stressing about and attending the interview this afternoon.

Otherwise, day is fine. Fucked up a bit at work but sorted it. Rereading Road to Serfdom after deciding to make a concerted effort to jump back in to more political interests.
Erm. Oh. Had porridge which was fine.
Rhubarb crumble. Cold, delicious but sadly without custard. Still an 8 out of 10.

BUT not nearly as much. I haven't smoked during work at all the past two days, and today so far i haven't even touched my e-cig. top stuff.
That seems to change tho as soon as beer comes into play. all over that shit. I think a concerted effort on the beer shall be needed, too. BUT I'm quite happy that i'm progressing in the right way.
Noticed at the gym just now how much more i could od in the circuit training class. really. good. much wow.
I went to the theatre last night. Was ace. But the Shed must be the HOTTEST theatre in the whole of London. No idea how people can perform in there, let alone sit and watch a play for two hours. Went to Marie's Cafe before that and had a Thai curry which was ace.
TONIGHT: boring life admin. Got 2 consecutive weekends of relatives visiting so need to sort shit for that.
