An easier answer would be the worst soup - that's definitely carrot and coriander.

and the centre of the meal was a big dish of crushed pea and mint concoction with the fish sat forlornly on the side and the chips in a tiny cutlery basket. The balance threw me some-what as the natural order of deliciousness and fork go-to is: 1) the fish; 2) the chips; 3)mushy peas.
Agreed though that pea and ham is the winning combination of pea related soups. Astonishingly, my family Christmas Day meals ALWAYS included a starter of pea and ham soup from circa 1991 to 2004. After this we re-instated the traditional egg mayonnaise option but last Christmas my sister brought back the P&H soup for nostalgia reasons. Delightful.
