with the way anyone else manages their email inbox?
You should see some of the nonsensical forwarding between folders one of the guy has set up on 'rules' here.
What the hell is wrong with people?
I am the person who deals with the fallout / people with such poor working systems/IT knowledge that they are almost literally in tears over it
but I do get to send out a Top Tip! email every day which I find pleasing
That's fucking mental.
it's so we can all use google drive and live in a happy collaborative world together
at the last place i worked, people were so bad at choosing between 'reply' and 'reply all', that they disabled 'reply all'
you know what's worse? People who make subfolders...and then don't use them!
I don't tend to send/receive any important emails or do any work though.
What a dubious badge of honour.
I, like most sensible people, have none.
And need to keep a record of conversations that have taken place for a number of reasons so not having folders would be murder
Takes about as long as trawling through folders. They're a waste of time.
Productions -> Name of Production -> Series
has 18537 emails in it. it's gone past the point where i can pull it back into decency.
every now and then I clear out about 6 pages and then I realise what I'm doing with my life.
people who organise them are fucking losers
outside a work environment is the pits.
Some director had something like 10,000 items in his 'deleted items' folder but never once emptied it.
I once joined a mailing list from a work account that had thousands of recipients. I was popular when my out-of-office responded to everyone every time
Gonna sneakily watch this on my phone to get through the day.
much like bathroom habits, those details should remain private
just search, pals
i was a subfolders guy but switched everything off recently and just tightened up my subject descriptions and use search, makes everything easier
work with other humans much?
is 'advising' people on better subject composition
I have many many many emails :(
with those little red flags but then I rarely check my task list. Once a month I'll go through the task list and find all this stuff I should have done but is now irrelevant so I delete them.
