'From the Friendzone to the Endzone'
Timmy (McConaughey) is a nice guy. What no one ever told him is nice guys finish last! When he joins a local Football team to get fit and ends up becoming 'one of the guys' he finally thinks he has learned what it takes to capture the heart of his long term unrequited love interest, Laura (Aniston).
Continue explaining the plot, in the style of a wiki written by a fan.
At a meeting to discuss proposals for a new building, Timmy meets Laura, a successful lawyer, and asks her on a date. Embarrassed, she reveals she is in a relationship with Timmy's former school friend and professional football player Mark (Jon Hamm). Timmy sets his heart on wooing Laura by signing up with local amateur team, The San Diego Lightning, coached by grumpy Steve (Dennis Quaid). Steve was a former professional player forced to retire through injury, who is using coaching an amateur team as a springboard to professional coaching. During his tryouts, Timmy meets self-professed hot shots Danny (Jamie Foxx) and Jay (Tom Brady in his first acting role).
Someone else can carry on.

no need tho, just giving hints on a cathartic, escapist pasttime
so that water is coming out of your mouth, then turn the temperature up to full and burn the skin off your feet. it will now be too painful to stand up so you are forced to lie down, but your discarded pubes are blocking the plughole. you drown in a shallow pool of water and you mum walks to brush her teeth and complains that you are using all the hot water. Escapism.
