Been stuck outside work as the adm isn't here. Been here 20 mins. Knackered
cba going to work. No holidays booked between now and... ever.
I think it is. They're the people under the main manager
H8 U MONDAY
new show at the National Theatre tonight. Should be good. Also this week: building a spare bed, catch up with an old buddy, and most importantly:
LONDON DRINKER BEER FESTIVAL
...it'll be greatly appreciated. I could sleep for a week. 9 hours to go :(
pretty chirpy today. so stfu
and the vets want to take her in and charge us £600+ and I don't know what to do :(
Vets are ridiculously expensive, my cat got a infected scratch the other week and it cost £130 for them to just look at him and give us antibiotics
I've already spent £90 yesterday on a check up and painkillers for her. She's not herself at all so we're VERY worried :(
My cat is old, overweight and has high blood pressure. We looked into it when we first got her but it worked out too expensive :(
I hope you manage to get her treated.
to a cat/pet shelter and ask for advice about free/inexpensive medical care there. worked well for my friend.
both of which don't apply to me :(
BUT what I have done, is changed my vet for a second opinion. I DEFINITELY think this vet is ripping me off (they once took my cat off for a test, without telling me they were doing the test, and then charged me £80 for it!) so I think its best I go elsewhere to find out if its genuine and their price. I don't know if i'm doing the right thing but wanna check things out before I chuck £600 at a vet!
The cat has improved a bit though. She's stopped being sick but just isn't eating. She's probably scared though. Poor Pump.
I didn't get to sleep for ages but feel ok. expect that to change later.
biblically long queue for tickets at clapham junction this morning - have been here in Mondays before and never been anywhere near that bad. weird. anyway, meant I missed my train, next one is now due at "delayed". grrrrreat.
Ban this sick filth.
which actually isn't that surprising because it's blatantly due to the weather. If all Mondays were this sunny I don't think I'd have a problem with them. Anyone else suffer from the SADs/SED's? I'm diagnosing myself here, but it seems likely that I minor formation of it.
A mild version, but its there. Fuck winter I hope it stays good, spring this time last year sucked
feels good maaaaan
Just snapchatted Edinburgh castle like a total tourist. I don't really want to go to my meetings now but better to get them over with, and then it will be Tuesday before I know it. I was about to grumble that I have nothing to look forward to this week, and then remembered I have tomorrow afternoon off so I can go to a family lunch. Hurrah! That will break up the week nicely.
This alleged heatwave has translated into it just being a bit grey and drizzly outside my window.
The thought of which should hopefully help me through the day. Gonna book some holidays in at work, need some time off to look forward to.
as of today. I now sit with my back to everyone on my team; makes me feel on edge.
Just read the post below this though and realise I have absolutely fuck all to be complaining about though.
how did I not know this was happening? :(
Pretty sweet weekend
Mrs C_B had her results back from her lymph nodes and mastectomy on Friday afternoon - no trace of any cancer cells found in the removed tissue at all now following the chemo! Massive relief and very emotional. Some precautionary radiotherapy and another preventative op and reconstruction to go, but it really seems she's out of danger now. Feels quite surreal really after living for months with it all going on.
Had a few drinks Friday and Saturday night, some other weekend stuff that doesn't really seem worth mentioning now :)
You must be so relieved.
It was quite a large tumour and a grade 3 (the most aggressive kind) they tend to react well to chemo, but we didn't expect that well! Just feel lucky it was noticed and stopped before it had spread anywhere else. Feels like we can see an end to it all now. She's been really good through it all and feels like we can get on with things.
just had weird message on facebook from my dads ex girlfriend in nz's daughter from a million years ago. status: seen, not replied to.
that's the saddest thing isn't it
not got much to complain about. um, the bike parking area is being rebuilt for some reason so i wasn't able to cycle to work this morning, so i was forced to go for a 50 minute walk rivers and floodplains in the warm spring sunshine this morning. CURSE YOU MONDAY!
What should I do?
What do you like doing? do that!
In about 30 minutes I find out what jobs are available to apply for as part of our restructure.
I'm watching the best telly show at work. I have a nice lunch too. Going to watch the Tilda Swinton vampire film tonight, which should be nice.
(Well, he's quoted in it).
Still trying to work out my finances for the remainder of the month and wondering if I can squeeze it in - might have to hold off until Fenino fun, but I'll let you know!
OMG I'm checking [website redacted] right now!
can't find it. PM / email me a link?
I don't know his surname so I'm only guessing it's him!
this morning I went to run a bath and found a half eaten piece of toast on the side. Who does that? He leaves his opened post on the bathroom floor and numerous half drunk mugs of tea around the bath. I seriously can't wait to move.
My weekend was alright, nothing special. Nice today though, innit.
My flatmate is messier than me (which I didn't think was possible). She also left loads of sticky lube on our new sofa a few weeks back after having a threesome with two girls.
That was a bit grim. I hope the sticky residue was just the lube as she suggested.
yecch. I wanna go back to bed.
in mine, fuck off.
as i was just walking about. picked up some oreos and jaffa cakes for my team so no-one cares.
to 10am so I went for a lovely walk in Princes Street Gardens and then had breakfast sitting out in the sun. One meetingdown and one to go. II might even get back to Glasgow for lunchtime.
today is a beautiful day!
had a great weekend - went to THAT THERE LONDON and had some nice lunch at riding house cafe with friends, then a tour of the houses of parliment, then got stupidly drunk. amazing we made it back to lewes really. sunday - terrible hangover, but still managed to clean the house, dig u[p the garden and make an amazing roast.
this week feels like it is going to be good.
going to have a day off from dis today as i feel it's becoming slightly detrimental to my wel-lbeing, but i hope you all have a lovely day.
brent goose (I think)
sandpiper (sorry, can't be more specific)
and watched hancock.
with lashings of alcohol and a sprinkle of hot pilates.
Was alright. Wish it wasn't Monday.
My commute to work is a 10 minute walk, but every morning I walk around the block which adds on an extra 20 minutes, and I always stop off at the same cafe to get a double espresso.
didn't sleep last night
played football on saturday. one of our lads got sent off after ten minutes so had to run around for 80 in the blazing heat a man down. that hurt.
poker friday. came fifth out of about 20, places paid to third. annoying.
Chopping wood all of yesterday. Then had a fire for all the garden crap and I burnt off all of the hair on my arm.
That's pretty much it.
Today I have to submit my first serious drama playlist to a scary director. Scared.
went to a birthday party on Saturday which was ace. Ran along the canal in the sunshine on Sunday, booked tickets to go see William Basinski and Michael Gira and made dinner plans for Tuesday.
it looks like there's still some on sale, so I'll probably buy tickets for the Monday.
Not as fast as her wahhey etc etc
Went to Bounce on Saturday evening for a friend's birfday then rinsed most of True Detective (2 episodes to go) with the missus yesterday. No spoilers, yeah?
Was awesome. Cleaning the house after getting wrecked Friday and a load of people coming from the pub. Got no money and nothing to do til next monday. Peaks and troughs.
You're now dead. Your story is over. Please move away from the board to allow two new players to start.
causing you to post spoilers from the 4th book all over internet threads about the TV series. Jump off the wall and miss a turn
drink D6 + 2 pints before the end of your next turn.
You miss a turn whilst breast-feeding him.
at anyone for taking the piss
Had my bro's wedding in Friday. A lovely intimate affair in Mayfair, went to Scott's for lunch which was delicious. My mum forced me to do a speech so I did and I made her and the best man cry, I was like HAVE THAT MUM. Then went to the pub and to The Ampersand hotel which was lovely and we had like a tower of canapés each. Spent most of Sat recovering before going to Hakkasan for dinner. Christ almighty it was by far the best Chinese food I'd ever had, the duck was the stuff of dreams. Someone from TOWIE was there.
I can't remember whether I knew he was getting married or not. Either way I'm glad it was lovely.
it must be spring.
Although my bag is still in Beijing because Air China are the worst, and it had my keys in it so I couldn't go home had to crash at my dads last night.
At work now and the jet lag is starting to set in. I should've just stayed in Japan.
Might just move there
And I didn't go. Why don't you do something like that?
I'm pretty settled in my job and flat these days. If I get made redundant at some point I'd definitely consider it.
which show a partial ACL tear, collateral ligament sprains (but no tear) and bony contusions. Which is a bit of a bummer, definitely no football or running for a while :(
Hope to see you back at footy soon
but there is no sunshine today.
Why is everyone saying it's lovely? It's grey and miserable here.
I need to go on a long walk but I need to eat lunch first but we have no food.
so today I got carried away and a bit *IT'S SUMMER NOW #YOLO* and didn't wear a coat today, looking outside, it's going to be a chilly walk back to my car.
at Illegal Jacks. I need a coma now, so full.
although I ate it too fast.
forgot you weren't in glasgow
would totally go one of them
without me gobbling it down, then I would do so. But it's never gonna happen.
Japanese Udon - amazing...and I get two of my five a day.
was only a little bit but thought seeing as i'm moving out i better flag it up and he's just sent a hilarious text about how 'sometimes when you try to fix things you end up making them worse so you'll be without hot water til i can get a new one'
I' not sure that's entirely legal what your landlord is doing.
it's only the mini boiler for my kitchen, and he is fixing it, it's just the oldest thing on earth and will probably have to get parts from siberia or somewhere
lots of jumping about, my neck and shoulders are killing me now, gonna look great though, lots of slow motion, strobes and glitter
...and then hiding under my duvet on the sofa for the rest of the night watching game of thrones.
