getting eaten by a snake would be a bit rubbish, eh
it was supposed to be comedic i think?! fecking terrifying!
when you're jaw has dislocated to the extent where you've got an alligator in it, that you just think "nah, sod this"
Imagine exploding after eating something.
That wouldn't be fun.
thanks to snake, croc and OP
Won't the snakes stomach then contain the bones of a crocodile?
Is there going to be a follow up, watching a massive snake shit out a fleshless skeleton of a crocodile?
there's something eerily fascinating about stuff like this. Like when that spider ate that bird a while back
if it coudn't digest it and the croc landed a posthumous blow
I did suspect this. Equally I suspect that might take a long time. Imagine having a tummy full of bones. It's feel really weird.
Reason #24 why I'm glad to not be a snake.
How is that even possible?
because they dislocate the jaw.
but the two main stories on the home page were regarding the ukraine situation.
good to know people are sifting through that to find the real news.
If a snake eats another snake the stomach ACID will dissolve the food snake.
Even if that snake is the same type of snake as the one eating it. It will even dissolve and digest the stomach lining of that food snake.
So why does the stomach acid not act on the snakes whose stomach it is in. Snakes evidently aren't acid proof.
Don't let the fact I forgot to punctuate that with a ? put you off giving me a succinct and scientifically accurate explanation.
you know humans have corrosive acid in their stomaches? you have acid in your stomach right now
Pretty sure I couldn't digest a crocodile though.
I am about to go on lunch though.
In between meals (which can be weeks or months) their digestive system kind of goes dormant, to save energy.
"The stomach is protected by the epithelial cells, which produce and secrete a bicarbonate-rich solution that coats the mucosa. Bicarbonate is alkaline, a base, and neutralizes the acid secreted by the parietal cells, producing water in the process. This continuous supply of bicarbonate is the main way that your stomach protects itself from autodigestion (the stomach digesting itself) and the overall acidic environment."
That's the one!
