Sexy? OR WRONG?
Maybe I'm getting old but he certainly doesn't look 17.
That kid should be locked up for having TWO Bob Marley posters in 2014
due to one of them being a keep calm derivative
One is a 10-year stretch.
I dunno if it's how they've taken the pictures or what (him in school uniform, in his bedroom) but he looks about 12
And he was an adult (16).
Duty of care sure, but also, duty of sexy.
Sorry, i couldn't bring myself to read the words of the article, I was just taking marckee as gospel.
so you could be right.
the relationship only started in September when he was 17, when she told him of her attraction to him, but that attraction started a couple of school years earlier, when she was his teacher.
Out of London
Early Hours of Morning
Aw marckee, I'm just playing with you.
I was just expecting him to look a lot older since he pulled a teacher. He blatantly looks like a child.
are automatically sellick fans, for some reason.
That innocent angelic thing- total front. I cna spot them a mile off.
(I feel bad now, he might be a nice little lad.)
but plenty of Gaelic people switched with the reformation... just saying...
She is very lucky not to get a custodial sentence
As a side bar, does the teacher not know how to work facebook privacy settings?
Everyone knows that if a girl gets into your bed you're meant to escalate else you don't get laid.
Especially as the relationship went on for three years, and even now, as a 17 year old, he looks about 12.
Um, I'll leave it at that. I suspect these are not the poics of her looking prettiest or most 'her', but pics that the newspaper has chosen to paint her in as salacious a light as possible.
I'm outraged. She has a personality you know!
Oh hang on, best not examine that either.

It is good that the authorities have not stood in the way of true love, it is a beutiful thing and should be given the chance to flourish like a rose

Looks like it's on an industrial estate.
'His father Richard Ralston, 42, said: ‘I wasn’t pleased about what happened, but you’re an adult at 16 in Scotland so I didn’t want to interfere too much.'
‘I want Gary to make decisions and learn from any mistakes.’
Basically equates to: GET IN THERE SONNNNN
If it was his 17 daughter with a 35 year old male teacher?
but then it's totally different, so not that surprising.
Attractive teacher abuses position of trust with pupil for over three years. Sleeps in same bed as pupil topless but with jeans on
Doubt it would be reported in the same way if the genders were reversed, and the parents of the pupil would NOT be acting in such a calm way. I also doubt the pupil would have been allowed to wave anonymity and I would be surprised if the verdict would have been the same
from a father's perspective, in that fathers for whatever biological reason seem to be more protective of a teenage daughter's innocence than thath of a teenage son. However, it should actually be the opposite way round, because on the whole, 16 year old girls are more emotionally developed than their male counterparts.
way more likely to be cultural, non?
Stemming back, I rpresume, to when your daughter was a chattel that you gave away for money and her lack of hymen/ loose reputation would dimiish what £££ you could get for her.
There does seem to be a curiously instinctive desire on the part of a father to not be impressed about the thought of his daughter getting boned though (and especially not taken advantage of by an older person). Some kind of fruedian (correct one?) instinct? (or does that mean he thinks 'why is her teacher boning her, that's MYYYY job?' I dunno really.
But even though it should be different legally, I wonder what would have happened in the case if the teacher was male and the pupil was female. Same result?
And how would the Mail have handled it? Sexy pictures of the teacher on a beach and shots of the pupils bedroom (complete with 1D/Twilight posters)? I think not
one's 'worse' than the other but it's likely that the two situations would be qualitatively different and involve quite different power dynamics.
true, girls (in general) are supposed to 'mature' faster than boys. but not all girls do. and 'maturity' doesn't necessarily mean someone will be less vulnerable to the advances of a teacher. teenage girls are also incredibly insecure (as are many boys) about their appearances and sexual attention. loads of psychological research to back this up.
there's also not such a stigma in older men/younger women sexual attraction/relationships and so it's seen as more of a possibility or a 'threat' that a male teacher could abuse a female pupil. also, y'know it's just more common that an abusive relationship of any kind is going to involve a man as the abuser.
to conclude: the two situations are seen as quite 'different' cause of patriarchy.
it is hard to wave in an anonymous manner.
where's my DailyMail article?
I just always dreamed of appearing in those hallowed pages.
but probably worth a try
Wants every fucker to know.
Anyway, my mate had sexual intercourse with our old music teacher about 15 years after we left school. He met her in the pub and was all like "hey baby, can you play the organ" and she was all like "don't make me put you over my knee and spank you" or at least in my head, that's how it went.
When I asked him what it was like ,as I thought it was an amazing personal coup, he said "huge arse".*
*This was his words, not mine. Don't start getting angry about sexism, I'm merely relaying the story. Everyone calm? Ok, cool.
is about to turn political and explode into a 300 replier, I can feel it in my bones.
TO THE ESCAPE HATCH [i.e the 'back' button]
but is all sex misogynistic now?
Fidel's doing a joke,
everybody quiet cos
Fidel's doing a joke
I thought I'd just write this every time you were a bit of a baby and had a defensive cry about people being too PC here.
It's turned into much more of a commitment than I ever really wanted =(
It's your cross to bear.
I don't mind. In the words of Harvey from So Solid Crew "It's all gravy".
but I think I righted things with a Van Halen joke
Lucien, the canary in the coalmine
until we leave school (and we don't have separate sixth form colleges- we do our A-level equaivalent type exams at 'school'. wearing uniform.)
I think all schools in scotland make you wear uniform util you leave (which can be at 16, but is more usually 17/18).
Certainly all of them in Inverclyde did. (in fact, ours was really strict for a state school.)
so she hasn't exactly gotten away scott free, not to mention the fact that I doubt she'll ever be able to teach again.
loads. Miss Adams.
So fit. Red hair, used to wear petticoats - the sexiest bit of clothing ever. The frilly bit used to stick out from under her hemline. doesn't sound like much but when you're 14 it was dynamite.
Just saying. Also.
but ALL the lads played up loads, I guess to maybe get her attention or something. She would have probably found it easier if she wasn't such a looker.
cant get my head around wanting to do this in the first place but like, actually acting on it is just such a weird and obviously stupid thing to do.
or deny your feelings and it's only the law but why does the LAW tell YOU what's right on wrong when you know in your heart what's right or wrong anyway and you don't need a tabloid or other people in their miserable loveless marriages judging you on what is real love because you know it's real as you're not a teen and even though they are you know it's right and everyone remembers what it's like to be a teen in love and so what if you've found it again is that so wrong to feel that way can the law really legislate on what's wrong in the world when gay people are vilified buy the church just because they're in love so why should you accept anything that the state or religion or what "good people" say when you know in your heart you have something pure and loving and sexy and exciting and amazing and it makes you feel so real and you've felt dead for years and jesus christ almighty all you want to do is be free and happy and live your life and everyone wants to stop you because they're miserable and their cynical and their world weary and you are pure and have love in your heart and soul and so they can fuck off with their values and morals as morals change over the years anyway so cultural relativism can go swivel because on day people WILL understand but until then you're not gonna stand here adhering to bullshit rules by a hypocritical society because the world is full of war and greed and starvation and all you want to do is be in love. FUCK THEM ALL.
It's FUCKING ART.
Not my problem if most people can't see it.
Did Picasso stop paining just because he was ahead of his time. No.
I imagined "As I teacher I would not do this" would be the least controversial.
It must be very difficult if you do fall in love with a pupil and you do probably come to the conclusion of "fuck everyone else" Jeremy Forrest stylee.
there will be three or four teachers at a school who they all consider fit and wank over/fantasize about because they fit certain criteria based on age and boobs to waist ratios.
I can't imagine being the teachers having to deal with that. Especially as they will all think they are so subtle.
Can't imagine wanting to be with one of the little grotty jizzbags either.
"they all consider fit and wank over/fantasize about because they fit certain criteria based on age and boobs to waist ratios."
at that age, the general teenager is going through intense hormones, and that is very much controlling their fancying of almost anyone at that age. It's not like they're thinking in terms of romance or anything else.
Is that there's a couple in the world called Gary and Bernadette who aren't in 60 year old caravan enthusiasts.
To the lifeboats. Women and children first.
so Yea, wrong. Wrong. Wong, wrong.
Our History teacher, Mr Claridge used to make me stand up in class and say, "this is your perfect Aryan woman!" I was about 13. Bit wrong.
without taking anything away from you
The law says that victims of sexual offences are given automatic anonymity for life. That right can be voluntarily waived, but not by anyone under the age of 18, or by anyone such as a parent on their behalf. This guy's 17, so what gives? Is it different in Scotland?
He has a legal requirement to brag about this in Scotland.
