people can walk into a room and turn on all their lamps by flicking the light switch.
I've got lamps on dimmer sockets that are all switched on/off from a master switch by the door.
Hotels are entirely made of lamps. It takes a good couple of minutes to do a circuit of the room and turn on enough lamps to adequately light the average hotel room.
Once you've worked out which switch is which
When you flick a switch and the room gets a fraction lighter but you've no idea why and where that additional light is coming from.
It's a nightmare. A literal nightmare.
hotel romms ahahahahaha
kind of on topic my brother got these remotes which connect to our plug sockets so you can switch off or on all the stuff in one room using one remote. Its pretty handy when your leaving a room just to press one button to turn off the tv, hi-fi, pc, lamps etc all at once.
pretty sure there's a terrifying sequence in Repulsion involving turning on individual lamps
I'll assume it was a massive flop due to devoting too much time to turning lamps on.
but it's only got a cool 100% rating on rotten tomatoes: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/repulsion/
That's like 5800%
basically what I'm asking is what do I need to buy to do this
sounds expensive. can't I just buy some kind of fancy plug or something
around the room, plug the lamps into those, have the first one in the series be one that has a switch on it, and put that in easy reach of the door, on a shelf or something
tbh i might cos her indoors fucking loves lamps and hates overhead lighting so we have 4 in the living room and it mildly irks me having the go around and fiddle with the fucking pushy-inny-next-to-the-fucking-light-bulb for a minute every night
I don't like overhead lights either. they're oppressive, man.
or they used to. So you can just use one remote to individually turn off your lamps at the socket.
DIDNT THINK OF THAT, DID YOU, FUCKFACE
when i go to asda and buy a new bin, cos teh spring on my bin is a fucking dick)
Has someone said this? I bet they have.
I like it when there's a little delay in turning off the light and the 'moonlight' coming on.
and just plug all ur lites in there. Boom
