It's a bit rubbish but it's a bit good too.
what you on about?
that's what I hear.
Not watched the 2nd season yet
it bets rid of his beak!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
some poor acting but quite engaging plot.
That one off This is England, some Northern Irish guy, a small bloke (bad actor), some woman I vaguely recognise, few other regional accents.
it's a bit rubbish.
or the Page 3 STUNNER?
a bit rubbish but it's a bit good too.
*add this to the 'bit rubbish' pile
Fuck this thread though.
as a companion to the series on the iplayer page.
Nobody knows because it makes no sense.
Well, her and Akers. They were behind the ambush. Right?
Akers got shot and flamed, she couldn't have organised that, or if she did she wants to rethink her strategy (from the afterlife)... I assume she got double crossed.
So he had Tommy killed to end that relationship and Akers killed as she was the only one who knew he was involved in the ambush. Denton had no idea he was involved so he asked her to be spared.
Maybe it was because he wanted her to take the fall for the whole thing. Alright, I accept my theory.
but deffo disappointing.
Did expect a much more satisfying conclusion
Denton saw Tommy punch a girl, then she got told by a cop she's never met before that he does a lot of other bad stuff. Next breath she's agreeing to help kill him!
didn't agree to the murders: she was specifically told there would be no voilence, it would just be a peaseful handover. Dot basically screwed Denton and Akers over.
so so so rushed.
i didn't believe denton's motivation, i didn't believe this incredibly smart woman would have taken the cash back to her house when the investigation is still going on, the flashback was just AWFUL (a real cheap trick), the 'what happned next' bit at the end was shit, loads of it was just dodgy.
i have a vaugue memory of it falling to pieces a bit in the last act of the last series?
nearly actually annoyed at this - the rest of the series was fantastic.
fucking prasad being given immunity.
'alright prasad help us out yeah, spill the beans and we'll give you immunity'
'alright sweet, well.... i'm a murderer, and i'm pretty heavily involved in child prostitution, and kidnapping, and blackmail, and preventing the course of justice (covering up evidence and shit), oh and kidnapping as well, loads of bad stuff, i'm a pretty bad egg really...'
'ok cool, thanks for that prasad, well we can't nick you as you'cve got immunity, care to let us in on the other bad guys...'
'oh no, i can't do that'
'ok no worries! cheers anyway!'
think that's the point: as Dryden said, they give immunity deals to the worse offenders, who then don't give anything in return.
surely that's not how it works
what kind of stupid deal is that?
THe audition I have had a callback for, the actor playing across from me is in this show. I have never seen it.
When did this happen?
Despite my misgivings it's actually ended up being pretty good.
Thought the Savile link was just...weird and unecessary, though.
