West Ham have a cry etc.
has become the sender off-ee
Keen to read more about that
(haven't seen the sending off mind you)
He kinda scratches at the other guy's face
Absolute shambles but a deserved, if soft, red (don't raise your hands etc etc)
(except Wayne 'Director of Transfers' Rooney)
Think he's been a superb captain. still got a couple good years left in him. Can see hime doing very well somewhere like Juve or Monaco.
for suggesting Liverpool COULD MAYBE finish above Man United this season.
I remember it being PROBABLY. And that was a still a stretch a few months ago if we're being fair. Are we being fair?
Finish him ithica
United's slim remaining hopes pretty much rest with Arsenal's next two games now, don't they?
Arsenal need to grab points and Anfield tomorrow. I'm quite confident they will do. If they can do that and follow it with a capitulation at the Emirates on Wednesday then United are in with a shot. Hopeful, that the gap is 4 or fewer by the time Liverpool visit OT in mid March.
I'm sure if Arsenal can beat Liverpool away, they can beat UTD at home at present form.
Utd may lose to Fulham tomorrow and that'll be the end of that pretty much.
If Fulham beat United then I'm not sure I'd survive the mix of utter disbelief and schadenfreude.
I think if i said Stoke would beat UTD last week, and Everton would beat UTD at Old Trafford, then i would have had the same reaction...
you really want to be making those sorts of promises based on Man Utd's current run?
Don't get me wrong, Utd should be able to scrape a 1-0 win i imagine, but i wouldn't put money on it.
Hoping such and such happens so that we have a shot. That's why it'll have to a capitulation at the Emirates. They're the better side. Not convinced by Liverpool and I holding on to that and a tiny sliver of optimism that United can turn things around. Anyway, just hoping the game at against Liverpool will be meaningful. Obviously, I'm disconneting Spurs and Everton in all this.
*to be a and I'm holding.
As always... I written the England language very best.
liverpool don't have to be good, they just have to be better than Utd...
original point. For United to retain any hope of 4th much will ride on Arsenal's next two games and me agreeing with that. I can't see United losing to Fulham tomorrow. While I can very easily see Arsenal winning. United basically have to get to the Liverpool game without dropping points and the fixture where it is most likely to happen between then and now is the game on Wednesday. It's basically a must win.
UTD need 3 more wins than Liverpool ( Or 2 wins and 2 more draws). Or, and around 2 more wins than Spurs and Everton.
Not easy, but doable at the moment. They have to beat Everton and Liverpool really though, to keep it in their own hands.
if you predict something implausable and turn out to be right you've got to be embarrassed really.
and then you called me loads of really offensive names and I couldn't go outside for weeks for fear of being attacked.
Sounds like me tbf
It's obviously a very harsh red but also an open and shut case. If it gets rescinded almost any card for violent conduct can and probably will be challenged.
It's a bit of a a slippery slope isn't it..
Gollivan feel (understandably) aggrieved about the £25m they've only just finished paying out re. Tevezgate following legal action over and above what had been decided by the initial hearing.
From a stricky-handed businessman's point of view, the precedent has already been set.
He wasn't looking directly at him, but clearly knows flores is there, there's not a great deal to suggest that carroll DIDN'T mean to catch him.
Carroll swinging his arm petulantly but blindly is a bit dickish - 1 game ban
Flores pretending something's hit his face and it really hurts is very dickish - 8 game ban and has to wear special hat
Chico probably committed 4 distinct fouls in the incident (jumping on him/wrapping his arms around his neck when he came down/hanging on for longer than necessary/improv of a man being smashed repeatedly in the face with a baseball bat that is on fire and has nails sticking out of it) and not only didn't get punished but was rewarded by giving his side half an hour against 10 average, average men.
Can't help thinking had he received any kind of punishment at all as well this all would have never got to this stage
in a saner world, the panel would have just decided both players should have received a yellow card, which I think most people would agree is about right
(stolen, I believe, from the Metropolitan Police)
gonna blow the roof off old trafford
best goal from each football league club in 2013
'Well done Derby, this was your Best Goal'
Charlie Austin - woof
Troy Deeney - :''''(
considering how shite Barnsley always are.
Cracking stuff. The whole game looked pretty violent.
As mentioned before, he'll always have a place in my heart for lumbering round trying to kick Nasri in the League Cup a couple of seasons ago.
wriggling through a Red/Blue defence
I don't like it
It's the only type of goal he knows how to score
just sums up how football can be so great
I've heard a few folk suggest otherwise. Not sure why.
Going to be a lot of stills of Sturridge and Suarez looking extremely sulky in that game.
at The Emirates. And we don't have Lucas this time. Gerrard's been really unconvincing in the holding role. More than anything it's just going to be really, really BORING.
2-0 Gunners. Stick the company payroll on it.
Can't completely rule out Suarez giving up on his team mates and making something happen all by himself though
will be comfortably offset by consistent Arsenal quality regardless.
Arsenal have been very impressive this year to my eye.
Man Utd missing out on 4th, is obvs pure LOLs
However, them sneaking it on the last day and crushing all the LOLing Liverpool fans would also give me a lot of joy.
There's also an Arsenal choke of epic proportions in the mixer, but I'd also be prepared to tolerate their gloats of *YOU'RE GOING HOME IN DEBT TO YOUR CREDITORS* if it means Chelsea don't win.
Then I always have a soft spot for Spurs as I know what it's like to be the historically far shitter part of a London rivalry.
Most importantly there's still a sliver of hope of QPR getting promoted replacing Fulham, Cardiff and Hughes. Already bought me cigar
Who do I hate more? Hughes or United?
Now... possibly Hughes...?
Always Hughes now. Only reason I can think of them staying up is to give him dogs at LR next season if we can get up
(can anyone find THIS SACK,S FOR YOU HUGHES? I cant find it anywhere)
It was only a few weeks ago that our more optimistic fans were glancing at the playoffs. Three defeats on the spin mean that we could really do with 3 points against Wigan to stop our more pessimistic fans from looking at the bottom 3.
do it to a site where not everybody knows they don't put keywords in the URL
I got lazy.
You'd be surprised though
not cut out for this.
more ahahahahahahaahahahaha bum injury :'D
couldn't have happened to a nicer person.
If he's out we might only lose the tie by three or four goals now
when a player is about to explode in anger and then has to contain it when his team mate selfishly doesn't pass but actually scores a wondergoal.
Got any good vids to link to?
was about to go nuclear.
When will he learn. He was always bashing it from 30 yards straight at the keeper/into the kop.
Ah well, if nothing else, it's preferable to Phil Collins-inspired ultraviolence
but let's have some links please
But every time I see Owen's goal vs Argentina in 98, I always love seeing Scholes trying to nick the ball off him
Two minutes of injury time left in a CL quarter final and we'd been a bit on the ropes, just need to keep it at 1-1 to go through. Ramires is bursting in space and Drogba got himself free- Meireles can square it to someone better placed to shoot or just hold it up and kill the game. H He does neither, and the crowd starts to loudly berate him for his cavalier attacking thrust.
Before anyone has even finished screaming 'PASS IT YOU FUCKING TWAT', he thumps the ball into the top right hand corner from 25 yards out. It was pretty funny if you were there.
Anyone got a phone number for Judge Judy?
and lucas out.
That's good. Reckon there'll be some goals.
