that said, time on facebook is mostly wasted.
And you should because it definitely is.
don't really believe it though. based on my posting 2,440 "things" since 2007. Watching the numbers go up it was quite clear they were just making it up.
They do have a point though obvs
nowhere near as much time as I waste on DiS.
My facebook stats (or so it says)
11 days, 21 hours, 48 minutes
posted 3462 things to my feed
I got my new computer for work on the 22nd January. You know how Firefox has that little globe icon to the left of the url. you can click on it and get info on how many times you have visited a site. maybe other browsers have this too, idk.
Well, this is what it tells me:
Work related site I am in supposedly 'all the time' - 40 times
Facebook - 167 times
DiS - 766 times
at 17 minutes a day since 6th March 2007 it's over 29 days.
(although I didn't join till 6 or 7 years ago.)
Type in www.facebook.com/lookback
When it showed my most-liked statuses I thought "I'm such a fucking arsehole."
about 90% of the pictures in my showreel were of me with my niece. She's 7 months old. I've turned into one of those babybores.
Was a massive snow penis that someone on the street built 2 years ago
that looked like a tiny dick with massive balls.
Probably is my highlight of the past decade tbf.
other highlights include me with dwight yorke and poorly wrapped christmas presents.
my naked snow pic is gone though or that would've been top
"Your first activity" which was photos of a house party at uni that got shut down by the police, to showreel photos of me, a few stones heavier and a little bit wiser, hanging about with my son.
I don't know whether it was endearing, or just a little creepy that Facebook knows me so well.
I always knew typing "just sneezed my glasses off" into facebook would be a moment to cherish forever and ever.
I set it to 15 mins a day, which is pretty bollocks, since a) I have it open all day b) my actual time of looking at posts/posting etc is probably negligible on some days c) at uni I definitely used it all the time, now, not so much.
Apparently I've been a member for 3,020 of Facebook's 3,653 days. Thanks Mark. Thark.
These trailblazers are really making the most of the technology aren't they
