*obviously not like pizza and shit
** you have spent a minimum of £20
but feel loved and cared for when the free stuff is there.
Glass half FULL
because the is no chance of me eating a stale cracker/popperdom when I wonder into the kitchen at 3am to get a glass of water and I get a sudden hit of the munchies.
Even though I'm not big on prawn crackers, it's the principle of it
when i do get some for free i go "ACE THEY GAVE US PRAWN CRACKERS* FOR FREE!" and then within 10 seconds go "oh, that's not really a big deal"
*i never get indian delivered for some reason
I dislike ordering a curry through a website. You're never certain they will include complimentary poppadum, so you order them individually plus raita and mango chutney.
They always include them
I got a takeaway (ordered online) on Friday for the first time in years. It came with a free raita but no pops or jack shit else. I wonder if they forgot to include them. Or the chubby old cockney who delivered them ate them on the way.
There should be a public service announcement
Better safe than sorry.
Last time I went to collect a curry, they gave me a free half of Cobra while I waited. That was nice.
and now have a small scar on one side of your lower back?
For our Chinese takeaway on Friday night, I ordered crispy duck and pancakes.
Received: hoi sin sauce, cucumber [wrong] and spring onions.
Nowhere to be seen: pancakes, duck.
That was a fun phone call.
I don't think I've ever been the lucky recipient of a free poppadom. Chapattis and raita, always.
Raita used to be better when it was yellow.
Don't want to know what that involves.
Spent £35 + a little while ago and didn't get any poppadoms. WTF?
What's worse is when they give you loads of yoghurt and lettuce and little chopped onion salad and then NO POPPADOM WHAT'S THE POINT OF ALL THIS THEN EXCEPT TO TEASE ME?!
My local Chinese chuck in a free bottle of Lambrini if you spend over £20
some eight course deal and one of the courses was poppadoms
what a disappointment!
is that a London thing?
What I don't like is getting the crappy polysyrene chinese prawn crackers in Thai places, when they should be amazing spicy Thai prawn crackers.
Best place on motorway service stations: Chozen Noodle. A bag of crackers for £1.20. Best crisps ever, incroyable value for money.
Surprised none of you bellends do tbh
i thought i did but then i realised they taste like sick
the foodstuff with the shortest half life in the world? from delightful to inedible soggy garbage in the space of 10 minutes.
also one of those excellent non-english words that has dozens of accepted spellings. don't forget to include some appala mate. gotta have me some pamporo.
HURRY UP WITH MY POPADOMS
Mixed starter for 2
Any two mains plus fried rice
Free prawn crackers and fortune cookies
I heart yeopans hard
I always order like 2, which is a make do amount, then hope for at least 2 more free.
i'm fucken sorry
are you telling me that you can get Chinese and Indian delivered in the UK?
this is the most upsetting thing i've probably ever read on DiS in all my years here
other than Pizza and Roast Dinners what else would you have delivered?
with the exception of maybe a few places in Auckland. But even that's rare.
not getting poppadoms is a good thing
tbh with how much you seem to be paying for takeaways over there they really should be throwing in more incentives. I don't think I'd ever get takeaways delivered at those prices.
are you saying he's done me? how? the old "lol you took ages to reply" thing on an internet forum doesn't really work does it?
look at him.
to tell me it took 6 and a half hours.
I wish I'd stopped talking 5 years ago.
And heaven knows I'm miserable now
He reckons you always get it free.
I reckon sometimes you don't.
I like 2 bags of onion salad. I like the chutneys.
He reckons you get it free. Sometimes you don't.
Always spend enough to select a free side. Saag Paneer PLEASE.
Free prawn crackers from a Chinese always though
