Got nothing to say but i get anxious when there isn't one
we might hold arsenal to 4
likely to have two of our best players out through injury, meaning we're playing a right back in central defence. think this might be the match where our unbeaten run comes to an end :(
a draw away to walsall with three key players out is a good result though
tough game today but we generally fare well away at turf moor.
hyped for onyewu's debut, really hope he starts
Can't stand Saturday lunchtime kick-offs
he breaks the record of scoring in 8 consecutive games currently held by sir roger hunt and some naff chelsea player.
I know we have exclusively braindead defenders, but if we don't BATTER aston villa tonight then I'm burning my plastic fan card. deodorant and lighter jobbie. I'll melt it in a bucket I don't even care.
Then I realise, it's 2014, Mourinho's never lost at home, Moyes has never beaten any top teams away, both the players that could inspire mediocre teams to victory are injured, and anything other than a drubbing will be a solid result.
Meanwhile over at Stamford Bridge, Mourinho tells fans: "I promise I will never die."
2-0 win for us then
get off your high horse, Highton!
Competing in four competitions is going to make us look mighty leggy at some point, Cardiff already know they can beat City, will be driven by a new manager's Fergie-fueled burning desire to get one over us and Solskjaer will have had them watch Palace and Sunderland's performances against us over and over again. Wouldn't be any kind of surprise if they got a point or more to be quite honestly fairly honest.
I'd say you've done alright
no, wait. Crisis at suderland!!!!
i reckon 11-1
we're going to get tonked.
You what, Michael?
but to be young was very heaven!
He's crap but when he scores I'm so happy. Whether it's a GLORIOUS derby winner or a pen against United - when he bites that hand I just can't stop smiling.
He has to be better than Iago fcking Aspas doesn't he?
instead of that shit dance thing sturridge does
You want to see your players celebrating similarly to how you feel as a fan. That kind of arrogant 'yeah and what?' thing is pretty much the opposite of that. Henderson's are always good, and Suarez always seems to be laughing his head off when he scores which I like. But yeah, if Sturridge wasn't a Liverpool player, I think I'd know exactly what I'd think of him.
as a bukkake scene
Here's the even longer version:
Is my favourite of all time. Cos that's exactly what I'd do, just run like fuck shouting my own name! :)
but i've properly gone off him since he got bored of scoring goals. Scored that wondergoal this weekend and just trundled back to the half way line as if he'd just got a tap-in in a friendly.
still goes nuts if he scores a properly important goal (clasico/champs league knockout/late winner)
the opposite of Ronaldo's "CALM DOWN EVERYONE. RONALDO IS HERE." knobhead gesture that he does whenever he bags some shitty sweaty goal like he did against Osasuna the other day. Horrible man.
it antagonizes the fuck out of opposing fans. It's especially good when he breaks it out in hostile environments like the nou camp.
Largely agree about being happy when you score but there's a place for bravura.
https://vine.co/v/hlnhIw2722h its a bit annoying
goal yet keeper is still rooted to the spot out of frame.
Let's say 1/3 instead.
might have another lovren-less game. Also Boruc returned just in time to boost Giroud's stats some more.
we have no pace at all, except for gnabry who seems to think it's too vulgar to run fast into space if you're an arsenal player or something.
Commentators for the West Ham - Newcastle game suggesting Andy Carroll may have injured himself while on the bench and will not be available to play.
So this is what happens when your Head of Sports Science and Medicine gets poached by Arsenal.
Must have been an emergency haircut/beard trim.
Not sure about the commentators' sources there.
Thank fuck, because it was starting to look like one of 'those' games.
They've been suburb in the 2nd half. 6 team accumulator back on. Ta Santi.
shit shit shit shit shit shit shit
let's keep it under 5 please lads
the accepted official pronunciation?
all commentary I have heard seems to have settled on a Guh.
"Santi Cazorla with a brace for Arsenal. Always thought he should start more often than he does."
starts basically every game.
commentators making a lot of how long the subs have had to wait for the ball to go out.
I wonder what the longest passage of play ever recorded without the ball going out is?
That is the most interesting of questions.
are both 60 plus.
I imagine them talking tactics over double espressos and backgammon.
that's not a bad result. seven unbeaten now.
he was very good today. Nearly like last season's version.
probably a combination of being fully fit and, you know, actually playing in central midfield.
he wasn't bad by any means, but he wasn't good. he winds me up because for a player of his talent i don't think he does anywhere near enough. he loses the ball so cheaply often trying flashy things that have little reward even when they do occasionally come off. for every wonder goal against norwich there's a hundred lackadaisical giveaways for no apparent reason. can't get rid of the feeling that everything's driven by ego/individualism, with little regard for the team. don't think he belongs in the arsenal first team at the moment. id rather see any of flamini, arteta, cazorla, rosicky, ramsey, walcott, and ozil start.
on a sidenote, i think we look at our worst when jack and cazorla are in the same midfield. think they're both prone to being quite aimless in possession which has a massive knockon effect for the whole team. compare it with the dynamism of ramsey and rosicky and it doesnt look good. just look at the first half yesterday and the second half against villa. luckily we're good enough to be getting results in spite of this, but i think it's a sign of complacency and a lack of focus, specifically from the midfield unit, that might well cost us at some point.
definitely not against fulham. He gave the ball away occasionally, but every offensive player does. I'd be very surprised if you looked at the stats and they showed that he was particularly wasteful yesterday.
think he will be a key player for us in the second half of the season. He does give away possession sometimes but that is improving as his match sharpness and fitness is getting better. Also sometimes you need to play a risky pass to try and unlock defences knowing it won't come off most of the time. He is definitely a team player in my book and at his best can boss the midfield and control the tempo of the game. Box to box midfielders like him and Ramsey will get a lot of goals and assists in this Arsenal team as Giroud often drops deep which means we need players to run off him and Ozil will play a lot of through balls for players making runs behind defences. Anyway you get the drift, I'm a massive fan.
Really glad I went
And the bloke on the front row scrambling for his camera to get a snap of him on his arse :D
Hughton buys himself another month...
Poor west ham
Would be good to see him sneak into the WC squad as 3rd keeper for the experience
Just got in and realised only Liverpool let me down on 9 fold accumulator, FFS.
Never had the same neurotic, pathological fear of Chelsea-United fixtures as I have done (somewhat bizarrely given both have consistently been worse, even if only slightly, sides for the last 20 years) of games against Arsenal or Liverpool. We've been looking good for a month or two now, even if final scorelines haven't been spectacular.
I'm gonna go for a dominant, convincing Chelsea performance but a slender one goal win.
have a feeling mourinho will try and turn on turbo mode at some point, just for a laugh (then turn it off again).
United are the longest odds w'eve ever been for a Premier League match with the bookies. With Rooney & RVP, we'd still have a shout... but today is only going one way.
but it does seem neither travelled. Red Issue reporting Vidic hasn't made the game either.
but it wouldn't really do for me to say so. Not until MotD2 starts, anyway.
is the obviously weaker side but think there's enough motivation and desperation going in to pull off a result.
United are going to get absolutely dry humped today. It feels odd willing Moysehlad to get a result.
bundles in a late winner at a set piece inspired smash and grab with Mourinho and Daniel Kelly sporting a thousand yard stare at the final whistle.
just after the mighty Chester beat them 2-1. It's probably for the best. What was his problem about travelling to away games? That can't have helped the team not having the manager there. Well, that plus 3 red cards and 6 yellow cards in 10 games.
I see this win and the appointment of our new manager Steve Burr as the turning point of the season. Onwards and upwards from here on.
if Moyes Mourinho'd the fuck out of Mourinho and it ended 0-0. But it won't. 2-0 by the half-hour mark, Chelsea then to sit on it.
I can only think of The Green on Ducie Street and other sports bars, are there any good old man pubs that show live matches?
Will have it on I think.
my mate has already made the decision of the Crown and Kettle which is closer to us but will check that place out another time.
idk why but there's something about chico flores that I don't like
when AVB was in charge there was always the sneaking fear they might cobble together some decent form and be vaguely threatening. With this lot you can watch safe in the knowledge they'll absolutely twat lesser opposition and be completely ineffectual against anyone above them in the table.
that Chelsea XI doesn't seem immensely great.
Man U probably with a better striker, for one, even without Rooney or RVP
That midfield is fucking bang tidy
Eto'o would have buried that.
ps phiLOL jones
I blame Javi Garcia.
guess its nice to see us playing decent football at least.
And it was poor for the 2nd goal.
came to him when Terry slipped. Danish pundits suggesting it maybe should have been a pen as Azpelicueta came through the back as he was shaping to shoot. Not really sure...probably not.
At least Utd are looking half decent. Especially, the young fella. Still Chelsea both jammy and ruthless just the way Mou likes it.
But a striker has to do better with the ball at his feet in the 6 yard box.
tackle from behind and don't get a touch on the ball = pelanty.
no way they're gonna get CL place. Liverpool are such a better side.
No bants or anything but I'd really worry if i was a united fan. Rooney and RVP might both go in the summer, they don't have chelsea or city's sort of cashflow to lure players with $$$$ (also Chelsea wouldn't be where they are without that jammy CL win). Also what happens with share prices and stuff? If that goes down does that make the Glazers even more reluctant to spend? I don't really know what the stock market does.
Just no sugar daddy.
pretty sure we have a greater capacity to spend than you these days, though.
in keeping with the philosophy of the players
Valencia cuddles Eto'o for the duration
Damage limitation or fuck it all out attack. I'd vote for the latter. Blaze of embarrassment and all that.
Vidic's was a yellow.
vidic's red really puts the cherry on the pile of shite. never a red card, not the sort you can appeal though.
soft but definitely a legitimate decision to give him a red.
:D'd at it tbh. Top schadenfreude.
found in acres of space with a delightfully flighted ball and which any half decent player would have nestled into the far corner. Then I realized it was Smalling on the end of it hands went straight into hands before the ball had even reached him.
Chelsea not all that impressive for me apart from the back four. Rafael's a definite red, Vidic's never.
which was to dominate but win by a slender margin. Instead we shared territory and just took almost every single chance- that hasn't happened too often this season.
I was right on top of the Rafael lunge. That was the worst kind of refereeing. Dowd had no fucking idea what had happened but knew he'd missed something bad, so took the coward's option. It was a nailed-on red, but if he doesn't see it he shouldn't do anything at all.
Had it right first time but DiS was being a wanker
Has apparently left/been sacked by Blackpool.
He took Tom to meet Monaco and he looks set to join. Blackpool will only get £155,000 compensation.
