He said Paul Hollywood often looks like he's about to start linedancing and I've been laughing ever since
everything is disliked by someone here. it's how the indie scene works
Why not ask if people like him. That way you might get a thread going. Unless you actually just want people coming in here saying he is annoying.
So I can change my opinion accordingly
there's a bit of smugness about him. but he still comes up occasionally with something utterly brilliant. he's never been as good on tv as he was in his columns, or tvgohome
Those were the days
I do think he's run out of original things to say though
towards the end of last year but turns out that he actually wasn't. So, I do not dislike Charlie Brooker.
'I knew I loved you before I met you...I think I dreamed you into life"
kind of like that?
"loving you is easy cos your beautiful do do do do do do AAAAAARRRRGGGHH!" but the opposite
His general cynical take on everything is quite wearysome, and Black Mirror was largely all kinds of shit.
But, in spite of that, he remains a fantastic columnist and writer - able to dissect and destory both subjects and people with an articulacy and a wit like no other. All of his xxxxWipes are also excellent - both humourous and enlightening. He's unique and, at his best, much needed.
He once described Gordon Brown as `A man with all the carefree joie de vivre of the Kursk submarine disaster`. That's just... genius.

and a bit of a dip in quality.
His last couple of shows have seemed a bit fresher though, hopefully the weekly one will be giving him some scope to not get stuck back in the 'call someone a cunt/ do the wank mime' rut.
When someone is angry at absolutely everything you wonder if they're really angry at anything. That said, his description of Bill O'Reilly as a tortoise sniffing its own farts was particularly apt.
He once said Katie Hopkins, whilst on the Apprentice, was played by the old Spitting Image puppet of the Queen. Still makes me laugh.
He even described his own head as resembling `a wet loaf`. Always accurate; always funny.
he (Charlie Brooker) should be Prime Minister. Not Charlie Brooker's fault as such, but still makes him a terrible cunt.
(although I liked the games one), but yeah I still like him
Good not so good good
both good now
On the celebrity scene, its James Corden
Bloody love Brooker, me
Dead Set: 4.1* (5* for last 20mins)
Black Mirror: 3.5* (5* for pigfucker and white bear)
Screen,news + gameswipe: 4*
Solid perfomance all round
but I do dislike the people that like Charlie Brooker. His acolytes are generally awful human beings.
about all the bald headed males in Eastenders making the programme more like Finding Chemo
Thought it was pretty weak. The immigration segment was totally ripped off from a piece in Stewart Lee's last show.
Recognised the 'homage' to Lee. Don't think any less of him for it.
In summary: LEGERND.
As being louder than Concorde crashing into a saucepan factory.
He'd have to be terrible for a long, long period of time to make me forget that.
was calling Melanie Sykes "a cheerful oak tree". Think it's here (I don't have sound): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ra8HjZRSu2c
Any segment involving Barry Shitpeas.
Brooker hadn't given them airtime, he even allowed himself to be upstaged by Stanhope's 'atheist in Oklahoma' section, wonderful stuff!
I always think that he's a natural successor to Clive James, even though the latter is still very much alive and writing. And a copy of Nathan Barley needs to be put in a time capsule for future generations to ponder over.
