Shinji Kagawa takes on 55 kids.
Two ALWAYS come along at once. Happens every day
videos of kids
* Leeds are humbled at the hands of the Owls. Oh the shame! Oh the embarassment!
* City benefit from a Chelsea-sized slice of luck in the Newcastle game, then are kicked around for 45 minutes as the ref refuses to punish Newcastle players for horror lunges and professional fouls alike.
* Danny Welbeck bangs in another!
* Liverpool beat Stoke in a decent, decent game.
* Andy Carroll's back #package
Not happy with having 3 put past us by a Stoke side who were so, SO shit for the first 40 minutes but, y'know.
Gerrard had the worst game I've ever seen him have. He was terrible.
I can't do with him half the time but thought he was one of our best players. His performance barring one awful pass and that header at the end was completely flawless. Did you see carra's analysis of him?
I'd been pretty wary of his return, but some of his passes were incredible and he really had a good game - Although he got sloppy towards the end, perhaps from tiring due to lack of match fitness or just getting older or whatever.
I am loving watching Liverpool this season. Very entertaining.
we're apparently about to sign Nemanja Matic back from Benfica for £20 million. I think he played maybe 1 or 2 games when he was with us before. All I remember is that he looks like a tall Ole Gunnar Solkjaer and managed to muscle his way into prime 'right behind the trophy' spot when we won the league under Ancelotti.
Also apparently about to sell Kevin De Bruyne for 17 million odd. Sure we'll sign him back for 30 in three years time.
to dazzling new heights. I've actually seen this guy play for us before and I still know literally nothing about him.
Pretty much have to accept that, in most areas of the pitch, athleticism is now non-negotiable. 'Tis a shame because De Bruyne does seem a decent player.
that a players value always drops after they leave Chelsea. We've just chosen a pretty weird way of proving it...
Guy I know is convinced our interest is a rouse, that we've got a sell-on clause and we're trying to coerce a panic bid from elsewhere
every time I've seen him. Chelsea's transfer abilities this year really have been quite something...
Hope Benteke finds some kind of form between now and then. He's fallen off a cliff of late huh?
from all the Bundesliga and Belgian football aficionados floating about, and whilst I don't doubt he's a good player, he's looked absolute tosh for Chelsea bar the first game of the season.
I would like to see him given more time so I could make a better judgement but frankly we have an abundance of riches in his position and everyone so far has made a better claim to start than him.
Rumours suggest he's a bit of a lazy trainer too, but dunno if that's bs or not.
Can imagine putting in little effort in training is the first thing that's going to get Mourinho's goat. Poor strategy.
this thread has fucked itself already. Possible lifeline for Jordan's inferior thread??
someone give me the skinny on him?
currently at hull but not mentioned anywhere on their website
Admittedly this is a long time ago but veered between fantastic and couldn't hit a barn door from what I remember
( good article http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-suffolk-20972466 )
he'll like bradford i think
had him on loan at blues for the past month or two. Not really had a chance. Got injured. Hasn't been match-fit. Is absolutely rapid so reckon he could do a job in L1.
Mourinho should bring him home
might harm his chances of a World Cup call up.
Or do I have to get a quill out and write a letter to Theo on parchment asking for help?
Think this may have been my doing.
accuses Warnock (and subsequently deletes tweets at great speed) of taking backhanders - https://twitter.com/sportingintel/status/422664013265108992/photo/1
enjoying the fact that "punch" is laying into the manager who most looks like punch of punch and judy fame.
what did warnock say then?
have said something about his penalty-taking abilities that he didn't fully agree with.
Warnock is old school. Plus, Paladini was knocking about at the time that Warnock got Puncheon in. The bee stung head never played from what I can remember though.
warnock looks like the little dummy from saw
Thought Kagawa, Adnan and Welbeck were especially good in the 2nd Half which makes me abit more optimistic about heading to stamford bridge on Sunday.
The best bit was obviously Fletchihno's back heel pass. Though I can't find a gif to prove it happened.
Saul Niguez (Atletico Madrid) to Man Utd, Arsenal or Chelsea
Paul Pogba (Juventus) to Man Utd or PSG
Nemanja Matic (Benfica) to Chelsea
Michy Batshuayi (Standard Liege) to Everton
Jamaal Lascelles (Nottingham Forest) to Arsenal
Lewis Holtby (Spurs) to Schalke, Wolfsburg or Hannover
Davide Astori (Cagliari) to Everton
Arturo Vidal (Juventus) to Everton
Anthony Pilkington (Norwich) to Swansea
Kurt Zouma (St Etienne) to Newcastle
Nemanja Vidic (Man Utd) to Galatasaray
Bacary Sagna (Arsenal) to Galatasaray
Juan Mata (Chelsea) to Bayern Munich
Davide Santon (Newcastle) to Arsenal
Liam Moore (Leicester City) to Aston Villa, Newcastle, Swansea or West Brom
Aaron McLean (Hull) to Bradford
Anderson (Man Utd) to Fiorentina
Demba Ba (Chelsea) to Arsenal
Mattia Destro (AS Roma) to Arsenal
Yoann Gourcuff (Lyon) to Arsenal
Anderson will either go out on loan to Fiorentina with an option to make the deal permanent in the summer, or if Man Utd don't want that, €8 million to buy him outright.
on the other it would just about recoup the cash we spent on Bebe.
this season they're comfortably bottom of the league... I can only assume that Bebe is to blame for everything.
last year everyones banging on about him (and sigurssonsardson) and this year he's hardly played?
top class player.
the real game is on tonight.
They will get done at some point.
Arsenal battered them and Sherwood was refusing to believe that their midfield was overrun.
They beat Manchester United but they were getting humped in that match, but United are shite at scoring. Welbeck has got a great haircut and runs about a lot, but he's not exactly top class.
City will put a minimum of 6 past them.
but it comes across a little over-the-top.
Were shockingly bad in the first half, we were all over them and could have been three up at half time. In the second half we came out and didn't want to attack anymore, Spurs while they did beat us weren't that good. I'm not sure what that says about us.
I had genuine optimism about a month ago, but we're slipping down the table, and putting in dreadful performances all of a sudden.
I have respect for McDermott though, and he deserves time to get us out of this phase. Saturday's formation was his first real mistake as manager, even though bad fortune and general aptitude were also responsible for the scoreline.
If we can keep leicester to a respectable scoreline that won't damage our morale further, and then actually pick up some points after that, 6th isn't out of the question, especially with this squad and the new players settling in well. But I can just see this season tailing off the same as last, perhaps not as dramatically because I expect McDermott to actually be there.
but your team's performance was easily the worst i've ever seen.
still, fucking hilarious and you were lucky it wasn 't double figures
Make a record signing on Friday evening, get up on Saturday, and for starters get to have a good chuckle at Leeds shipping six to Wednesday.
Then a fairly dire game against Milwall is lit up by new record signing scoring the winner in injury time despite not yet having trained with us.
Could tell Wells has been out injured though. He played half an hour and looked absolutely nahkered. Can't wait to see him and Vaughan play together though. Might go to QPR this weekend.
I could really do with my bet paying out soon.
hull at home on Saturday should just about do it...
Hyypia and Henchoz into this team. Brendan still thinks we're 'in the title conversation' but I think that's unrealistic. If we had a pair of centre halves like them though, I'd jam us right in there.
In two games we have Everton at Anfield. Has to be one of the most important league Merseyside derbies in almost decade. I'm still holding on to the belief that the wheels can and will come off for them, and a trouncing at Anfield would be a great way to kick that off. But they are so good at going forward that they are guaranteed to score goals against bad defences. Gonna be huuuge that game.
Will we fuck win the league, but given our points tally and position he has to believe it's possible else he wouldn't be doing his job. He probably knows deep down it ain't gonna happen mind.
Yeah we were lucky to salvage a draw at Goodison last year, albeit in a fucking awesome game. You want every derby to be like that. But you're right regarding it's significance. I think we'll do 'em to be honest. We're a better team than they are (just) and home advantage and all that... But yeah, big game! Can't wait.
Mad scheduling. And annoying as fck to get home from.
Well that's shit. Last time we had a midweek Derby was when they did us out of the FA Cup weren't it (when ITV's adverts cut in unexpectedly and led them to miss Everton's goal).
Can't get too excited about that. It's one of the games I don't mind having a 12.45am Saturday kick off. Just feels right these days.
It's Spurs-City and Chelsea-West Ham on the Wednesday, so I'd guess the fixtures were split so TV could cover a big fixture from both nights.
Tend to think it makes more sense for local derbies to be mid-week games.
I don't know if it makes more sense to have them midweek. Maybe derbies with a history of more trouble etc. I've just gotten into a nice routine of late of twice a year or so starting a nice day's drinking with a Merseyside derby early doors on Saturday. Hardly the end of the world though.
we will have exactly the same goals scored, goals against and points as Chelsea. Tight.
Of course we will win 20-0 and go top. Of course.
men in shorts. tackles. dribbling. goals. oranges at half time.
managed to make myself forget about that
as manchester united were knocked out by swansea and bayern munich don't participate in the FA cup
4 goals, 50% of which delivered against top half opposition.
And in Suarez's case he's tucked in and gone back for thirds, he's pretty much treating it like an all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet, he's filling up on spring goals.
Probably one of marckee's heroes too. Shame
credit to him, he found a way to be an even bigger piece of shit
Probably doesn't enhance your likeability though
and rent them out in good condition and at a fair price to people who need them. The housing market relies on private landlords, afterall (although I am happy to believe that 80% of them are rotten to the core).
Whether or not Fowler actually does this is up for debate (I don't have any evidence either way). Certainly not comparable to making a disgusting homophobic taunt at a fellow professional but fair enough.
After 45 minutes in which they were probably the better side - we suddenly just cut loose.
Krancjar's goal is great - until you see the replay and wonder what the defenders were playing at.
The Pub Landlord was magnificent apparently. STill dunno why Redknapp doesn't play Onuoha though.
a 2007-08 fantasy team?
SuperPippo the favorite to take over.
who did the most bendy shot and was it accurate?
Best kick: Cheick Tiote
Best curling shot: Kerri Einarson
Was it accurate? Was it!
see you at the same time next week
I understood it until it started taking about hot hands and pistols.
is quite good at doing curly kicks (at least that's what my girlfiend tells me). Who does he play for?
lahm dante hummels alaba
ribery schweinsteiger busquets bale
Ronaldo Zlatan Messi
Iniesta Xavi Ribery
Lahm Ramos Silva Alves
also this year busquets has been better than xavi, and suarez has been better than ibra.
Zlatan has been better then Suarez. Not infinitely better but still.
but the decisions undertandable given champions league football and not biting people
ribery is never a midfielder
is an interesting show of how imbalanced the league is between the very top and everyone else.
Having fringe players who can't make the side being able to be sold for £17m is fucked
I cannot believe he's been sold for that much- it must be PR work. I just cannot believe he's worth that much, or that a German Europa League hopeful would have that sort of cash to spend in January.
on a player whose manager has publically said isnt good enough to get into their first 18!
check out Messi's suit:
(just so you're in the loop, guys)
A last desperate attempt to outshine Messi in some way
wenger's popular on the horn of africa
wonder if anyone has ever wanted to win so badly
Bit weird that Lloris did too though.
Wait, is Liverpool's Jon Flanagan also the Turks and Caicos Islands coach? hashtag rigged4rafa.
Ethiopia's Degu Grebreyes choosing Xavi, Pirlo and Muller <3
Cronaldo did some subtle tactical voting for Falcao, Bale and Ozil...
where have all the sopcast streams gone????????
HOW ARE YOU MEANT TO USE ACESTREAM???
seriously though, how do you use acestream properly. I've bloody tried and it's never come close to working.
One of my students used to live next door to him.
we've drawn Havant & Waterlooville away in the quarters of the FA Trophy, which we'll either win on our glorious path to Wembley or lose disastrously which is far more likely given our away record.
who had one good year then disappeared:
who was hte derby striker with curtains?
Looked amazing for about a season and then buggered off somewhere
I TOLD YOU ALL
but Christ, Villa are woeful
Still think getting Norwich from League 1 to prem stability in 3 seasons is the greatest managerial achievement of recent times.
If only he'd stayed at Norwich, the prick.
clearly something shite happened behind the scenes, possibly involving grant holt
the vast majority of teams in the league would have put us under pressure for at least a little bit of that half.
The fact that we're comfortably 2-0 up, with about 70% possession only really tells you how awful villa were.
the opposition have literally no interest in winning the game.
Then one of my 8folds from the weekend comes up. Only 5p a line like, but an 8fold none the less.
it's quite nice having someone that everyone hates again.
it was a bit http://i.huffpost.com/gen/1290763/thumbs/o-GARETH-BALE-CELEBRATION-570.jpg?6
would really like a gif of villa's mascots trying to shake players' hands and getting rejecting every time
at least semi-interesting.
Still, top of the league!
over-run the ball/lunge in like a twat combo policy?
I would find Arsenal SO annoying.
I find them far less annoying/hateful than, say, Chelsea.
