why is eoieeoen morgan not captain?
why cant root bat all of a sudden?
i played against kate cross in the under 18s for heywood, never faced her but she was supposed to be quick.
currently ripping into aus, 6 wickets in the game.
but i can't find them now
Bopara wasn't that bad was he? didnae see the whole game but it looked like he came on when they were doomed anyway
rankin looked pretty rank, and bresnan looked a bit slow. and what's the deal with not playing a spinner?
don't think it's too bad of an idea with a full seam attack but none of bresnan, stokes, rankin or jordan are really top level.
they'll probably chase it inside 45 overs but some lovely tonk gone on all the same. wouldn't want to arm wrestle jos buttler eh.
48th over and 5/288 pretty good time to jink them.
If the bowlers go alright England may salvage a bit of pride here. (Leaving aside the women's excellent win)
i've got a bit of guilt complex with it, my dad used to wing coasters at me and my brother if we moved from our assigned spots on the couch when england were going well in a test.
we;ll see, still putting aus slight favourites.
We should probably start to think about throwing it away soon.
1-3 to the (now outright) 4th ranked odi team in the world!
it's almost as if this australian side is made up of significantly less talented players than those they faced in the earlier games, still... weyyyyy. ben stokes; jos buttler, future's so bright i've gotta hair braid. really enjoy george bailey looking unhappy. hope to see more of it in the future.
stokes has got a bit of that early career steve finn voodoo... leg side strangles, top edge hooks lasering into the keeper's gloves, loved the faulkner send off, he looked really appalled about it. sub in kp for ballance and jimmy for one of bres and jordan and you've got a team.
Wouldn't be surprised if it takes them years to recover from this kind of shellacking...
in the words of Martin Crowe
that delivery stride is fucking horrific
Been around for a year or so now, never heard of him though until the last couple of series
we had mitch up at lancs for the t20s this summer, he was class. definite monster mash too, not quite in bennet's league though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fu-O-b1dCi4 look at that run up.
So one-eyed. Though it was funny when they spent 20 minutes going on about how great Clarke is, showing highlights of his career, batting, bowling and fielding, "wouldn't it be great for Michael Clarke to score a century on Australia Day" and then he got out.
Doesn't matter though, they "live in the greatest country in the world, we have to remember how lucky we are" etc et fucking cetera. And as I type they're doing it again.
who was saying this?
Taylor, Waugh, Lee, Slater, Healy have been commentating. Not sure which it was.
TGFB (Thank God for Bumble)
Wouldn't be surprised at any of the others though.
Brett "nice guy" Lee, who's bowled about a thousand beamers in his career.
Steve "slit for a mouth" Waugh.
Ian "ugliest batsman of all time" Healy.
Should be Deano or Mike Whitney!
his foot was down before it was out of the middle stump groove. bollocks to it.
Bopper would've done anything other than block out the rest of the innings? What a pile of wank. But don't worry folks, Jade Dernbach's arrived in Australia!
one of the worst all-round individual displays i've seen for england. goes at a run a ball, drops a catch, blocks root & buttler into desperation at the other end & then runs out super-bres when he's looking in nick.
such an aggravating cricketer, doesn't have the head to make a contribution when not in absolute top form but fools you into loving him when he's seeing it big.
How the hell did you lose that? Went to bed when Root hit his 50 and you were cruising to victory!
