Has anyone here ever taken voluntary redundancy? There's a round of them here and I'm kind of considering it.
...then why not? You're essentially getting paid, tax free, to fuck off.
CG assures me that Piledriver is considered their classic...
but decided not to
shouldn't be mucking about
...doesn't mean that you shouldn't think about challenging yourself. Is the field you work in buoyant and do you reckon you could easily get at least an equivalent job. Alternatively, is there anything you could use a payoff for (study/travel/whatever)?
it was perfect! The package wasn't great for the amount of time I'd been there because it was a uni but it didn't really matter because I wanted to go. Unless the package is awesome, if you don't want to leave don't take it, there'll be people who want to go
im not at all, so will hang on here doggedly
it was great, got the summer off and bought a new (to me) car to drive to my new job in with payment.
Worth seeing what sort of jobs you might be able to get/apply for before deciding and working out your payment and how long it will sustain you if you don't get another job. But you probably know this...
Got made redundant in June, done fuck all since. Unlike a normal person, I've half-heartedly applied for literally a handful of jobs in that time (nearly 7 months) and spent the majority of it sat in my bedroom. That's how much of a fucking waste of space I am. Just needed to say that as some sort of therapy thanks bye.
holding on in there -
