Anyone in? I'm in.
If so, it is excellent.
loved the first two episodes, Saga is ace and I have a small crush on Martin so wins all round
definitely more to it than a little terrorist eco group though I think, would have thought they could have been more original than masks and cards too.
you'd think there would be a massive public panic/outcry but this seems to be skimmed over or not mentioned, presume it's being kept quiet or just would detract too much from the story
we know who has done it, the rozzers know who has done it - can't string that out for another 8 hours.
What's the score with the student lesbian? She's a right twat.
presume it'll be something to do with her boss being one of the gang's boyfriend. The dodgy bloke with the bees should reappear at some point too I imagine
I forgot about her boss and I had forgotten about the bee man as well. He was well shady and pretty thick with his phone answering.
"gimmick" of the Danish/Swedish being spoken is lost on virtually all that watch, leaving it to be just an excellent drama. I saw one episode of The Tunnel but then left it. I may seek it out again. To go off on another tangent I'm hoping for another series of Spiral to be shown on The BBC4 Saturday evening foreign series slot.
well shot, good lead actor/actress, suffered from having pretty much the same exact plot as The Bridge - led to a lot of "why is... oh yeah, because that's going to happen" moments.
But i fear they're playing up the 'Saga's on the scale' thing just a *little* too much now. Far too many darting eye shots and 'should I ask my bf what he does at work?' kinda questions.
shocked to see the gang killed off..
saga and the nanny, brilliant :)
where is beeman?
How great was the bit in the car park? Proper good.
I'm curious about why they've kept Lens in it. It must be more than just for the visits from Martin.
Also, why is Saga such a bitch to Rasmus?
in the way I would say Maaaaaagggggnuuuuuuus when watching Borgen
Also, her original keynote speaker got poisioned... who was that? I can't remember
and thought the man whore was a bit mean to make her pay full price... don;t know how she is going to fit in with the rest of the plot though - unless her husband is part of it?
lying about his flight being on time.
with her sister. But I reckon a lot of things.
Don't read if you're not up to date:
When the copycats took Saga, I was thinking Martin would have to race to save her in a reversal of last season. But that didn't happen.
That dying woman is going to confess to the writer isn't she? And Lens will crack the case (whilst munching on an onion bhaji).
will give my thoughts tomorrow I expect
Saga pointing gun and shouting at recently shot girl still in hospital gown, great stuff
always knew that nanny was suspicious...
and jacky biscuit was right up there huh? but how was the man whore involved? Excited for the final 2 episodes now. We knew Bee man was not good
I thought there were 10 in total and we have only seen 6...
My wife called that Nanny almost instantly and said "Munchausen by proxy" seconds before the words appeared on screen. I'm worried about where she might be on the spectrum.
once she said NO! that's Nicolaz's cup, I said - it's her poisoning the kid! must be a mother power :)
Is there 10? Great...even better.
made more creepy by the fact NOONE in this program has curtains. Even Martin and his wife, sleeping on the ground floor.
still, hotting up nicely now with the big men/women coming in for the summit. People faking deaths and Saga nicely asking dead girls Dad if she was a porn star.
very creepy poisoners basement *shudders*
will eb a bit sad when this ends
or have we got some more twists coming in the next couple of hours? He looks a bit like Chris Packham.
If I was going to have one lesbian experience in my life I wouldn't choose Bodil, I bet her breath stinks.
The Rasmus was pretty lucky to just get reassigned.
Martin must be pretty happy or in with the writers. For a balding, grey, chubby man with a horrible smile he ain't half a lady killer.
Said exactly the same about Bodil. Girlfriend ignored me.
Also the same about Martin. His mad little laugh is great - but how does every single Danish/Swede fancy him? Dunno. A mystery.
Well, I reckon it's definitely the jizzing brother - he'll probably now have to stick some horrible poison into his wife now that she's logged on to his mad CCTV wank den.
Still need to work out what the bloke who moved to Thailand has to do with it - plus whoever that cool guy who owns all the boats has got going on. It's definitely something to do with his ex-wife. No one has bothered asking him about her yet.
two hours is plenty of time to slip in another twist i think
but I do like the grey balding chubby older man - see Bruce Willis and Mr S for evidence
the crimes have nothing to do with the first one but there is an ongoing plot linked to the first. It will also spoil the shit out of the first if you ever want to watch it.
Just want something to watch on my commute and the whole of series 2 is currently on iPlayer. Will maybe try and catch all of series 1 over the weekend in that case.
but yeah, the 2nd spoliered the shit out it, within about 30 seconds of the first episode
One of the best series I've ever seen.
This one was less gimmicky and didn't rely on loads and LOADS of coincidences to make it work.
And, yeah, dark as fuck ending again. The woman who plays Saga is 41! To me she looks about 28 in the show. And here's a picture of her smiling!
Liked the bit where she went all kung-fu and kicked the shit out of those guys trying to take her hostage. (The wife said something like, "I thought she was a gonner and suddenly she turned into Buffy.")
There's an interview with Kim Bodnia in the Guardian:
really enjoyed it - possibly got a little bit silly in bits, but great atmosphere and pacing throughout, and two really enjoyable leads.
looking forward to season 3!
Martin is definitely in the next series, hoping it's not from in prison as that'd be daft.
have added drive across the Bridge to my holiday to-do list
that there'll either be not enough evidence to convict him or else Saga will have found a way to tamper with the evidence so that the trial fails? Dunno, I felt like there was something really significant in her last exchange with him about him being her only friend.
can't really have the programme with one of the two main characters in jail
so Saga could still drive over the Bridge a lot
Martin is their man on the inside, Saga drives across the Bridge a lot, shadowy man is behind it all, Saga's boss gets killed in the last episode, Mette and Rasmus start seeing each other, clsoing scene: Jakob's mum hiring a hitman to kill Saga.
I know they split up and all but did you notice that Mette and Martin had two single duvets rather than one king. I wonder if that is a good idea. I mean you can join them together if you want but then you still have ultimate control of your own duvet.
also - no curtains in anyone's homes
but the duvets. Although maybe I'll just keep the king and get a single for my wife.
worked a treat. The wife liked a duvet all snuggled up near her face, I preferred a bit of air and freedom, ditched the double duvet got two singles, win win. Could have a married cuddle under both, turn off the lights, sleep as you please under your own duvet.
We're not together anymore though, but I don't think that had anything to do with duvets. I've now got a big king size duvet all to myself in a new place, except when the girlfriend is over but I've not thought about the single/double option.....until now.
As for the Bridge 2, I bloody loved it. The look on Pernilles face in the toilet of certain death, blimey. Still unsure as to what the shot girls Dad was up to with all his cameras, suspicious behaviour, filimg the ship/boat at the beginning, or why she seemed to not have much love for him either, maybe because she was a stroppy self centred arse. Can't wait for Season 3. I love Saga, wouldn't mind a beer with Martin. Not sure shooting a hen would be on my bucket list but I'll cross that, ahem, bridge when I come to it.
or is he just the shadowy man who will never be caught?
As for the duvets, the evidence so far is two relationships, both ended. I'll have to think about it.
The duvet evidence is stacking up against it being a bad move isn't it. Maybe go for a trial period or test it out in the bed dept at Debanhams. I'm sure the assistants won't mind you and the good wife trying the various methods out.
Shadowy man needs to come out of the shadows doesn't he. It'd be daft to just leave it at that. Surely he'd continue his mad scheme until it was more successful? If I think about the plot for this season too much then it does crumble a bit but my oh my what a show it is.
Did jizzy incest brother and his wife know of eachothers evil doings or were they completely seperate in their madness? After she killed him and then it became apparent that she was the baddie I did think "eh? what's the score here?" Was his side of it the masked gang, death of Claudio (sex man with the smaller than expected penis), poisonings and subsequent share price rises whilst her side was creating the ultra evil virus and his sisters spread of it at the EU summit?
The copycat gang who tried to grab Saga were a bit shit.
That bit did seem dodgy because when we saw them alone they just seemed like a slightly strained married couple with jizzy sister issues, not with nefarious plans (albeit on different scales). If they both happened to be up to similar shit just by chance... well, I still enjoyed it.
Maybe shadowy man is Jakob or Mette or something.
"hey, what are you up to?"
"erm, me neither"
"I've nicked some poison"
"oh, I've been creating a new super virus"
"want to watch Wallander?"
Seen a few theories on blogs suggesting Jakob could be the baddie. Not sure about that at all. He had got rid of his beard after moving out though....hmmmm.
make his crimes pro-environment.
ah, now I feel a doofus. Maybe we'll see them discussing it over breakfast on the dvd extras.
the end bit was covered up a bit by the whole cheerful Pernille death then straight into Saga grassing Martin up.
Still - bloody brilliant. Not sure it tops the first series in terms of the sheer tension of it, but still excellent.
