is this from that PR stunt with the pretend single mother who's really a well-off estate agent for the same firm that's selling the house or whatever? marckee?
- actually I prefer 'actoR'
- She's probably fucking in it!
as far away from her as he can possibly get and still be in shot.
Man of The People.
Basically, if you can't find a genuine example of a single parent using right to buy, then it's probably a failed policy yeah?
Woman who understands property sector uses to government property sector initiative to buy home.
Help to buy is not just to help the poor
But could the Tories have not seen the issues when selecting her as a subject for this PR stunt? He works for the firm that sold the property FFS
That's like saying an accountant should pay someone else to do their tax return for them.
If this was a PR stunt about the self assessment tax system you might have a point.
The tories should have seen that using an estate agent as the subject of the help to buy scheme who bought her house from teh estate agency she works for looks a little dodgy. Surely there were plenty of other applicants to help to buy they could've used? Or maybe there wasn't
i'm not sure the Tories really have much to worry about. Some people on twitter don't like them/DC... big deal. The people having a little cry about this wouldn't have voted for them anyway.
A big fuss on twitter about fuck all (as normal)
Poorly chosen subject for the PR stunt though, makes the Tories look like liars, which fits alot of narratives
She's done nothing wrong, barring being complicit in the Conservative's PR visit. Whoever it was at Milbank that organised this probably needs a bit of dressing down for not doing their homework though - they should know by now that their PR trips are going to end up under the microscope and she surely can't have been the best candidate out of the thousand or so that've already moved under help to buy?
independent of what your own value judgements are as to what a `big deal` is.
I mean: this has basically just led to a woman having her life scrutinised after she bought a house perfectly scrutinised.
It's hardly news that Dave et al lie to the public. So all that's really been achieved is that a member of the public has had a bunch of twitterites have a pop, no?
....not exactly power to the people is it?
meh, makes a change from people on benefits, that have the audacity to buy a television, getting their personal lives scrutinised
still seems worth pointing out though, surely?
Is the kid really hers? If so we should stop and think of the children
Just a poorly chosen subject for the PR stunt
A poorly chosen subject. But I think the issue is if that was the big PR drive, surely they could have actually foudn someone better? Who was actually a single mother, not married. Who didn't buy the house through her own company etc etc etc
I mean, this is legit, but if this is the BEST example of the scheme working, then ALARM BELLS.
Surely they did a lot of digging for a person for this, and she was the best they could find?
I think she has stated that she is a single mum, separated from her husband 6 months ago
I didn't come to the conclusion that Cameron is a complete shithouse because of some bollocks seal-feeding, and I can live with anyone involved in real estate getting a bit of stick.
mercilessly kicking the baby mat and baby out of the way before stooping to lean on a windowsill far too low for it to be comfortable. Somewhere under that circus tent that woman has in her flat is a severely injured infant.
The only other person I've seen stand like that is Alan Partridge when he was drunk and fell asleep at the bar standing up.
