    • Business trip to India

was almost sick by the end of it, but by gluttony alone, not food quality.

  • does hotel breakfast count as a meal out?

    brusma | 20 Dec '13, 11:52 | X
    • Yep.

    cocodaLOL | 20 Dec '13, 11:52 | X
  • oh, unless you count afternoon tea

When I graduated we went for lunch, then afternoon tea and then dinner. I can't remember why, I think it was because of some kind of mix-up.

    PickledOeuf | 20 Dec '13, 11:53 | X
    • depends. What did your afternoon tea consist of?

      thewarn @PickledOeuf | 20 Dec '13, 11:54 | X
      • Ah Chippy

    • I thought this,

but i couldn't definitively remember a single instance. Every day in Sardinia, lunch and dinner was wonderful. But the hotel breakfast? Mediocre :(

      thewarn @plasticniki | 20 Dec '13, 11:56 | X
      • you're going to the wrong hotels warny

        brusma @thewarn | 20 Dec '13, 12:00 | X
        • Every time I've had a REALLY good hotel breakfast,

I've been travelling that day, so ended up having at least one shitty airport/airline/petrol station meal.

          thewarn @brusma | 20 Dec '13, 12:01 | X
          • The one day I count

is because I woke up on the couch of an old friend who is a chef for a living, so the breakfast was suitably incredible before the day started.

            cocodaLOL @thewarn | 20 Dec '13, 12:02 | X
  • I had haggis for three meals in one day once

And none of those meals were at home. So, yes.

    Epimer | 20 Dec '13, 11:59 | X

  • I very rarely have breakfast out

if I do it would be brunch, which I count as lunch. I have probably had a good pub lunch, dinner out and a kebab after drinking if that counts.

    steinbolt | 20 Dec '13, 12:11 | X
  • Yes, November 6th last year

    Breakfast: Fancy Park Lane Hotel
    Lunch: Fancy Marlyebone Steak Place
    Dinner: Fancy Bristol Restaurant

    Best day.

    Steved | 20 Dec '13, 12:20 | X
    • Oh I've misspelled Marylebone

      Disregard all that.

      Steved @Steved | 20 Dec '13, 12:21 | X
    • Could probably have done loads more on business trips too

But I don't usually eat breakfast when away on bid-ness.

      Steved @Steved | 20 Dec '13, 12:22 | X
      • Many many times

Usually on holiday, but coz i work with cafes and restaurants I regularly breakfast somewhere, then have a lunch with someone then go out in the evening. Is pretty nice.

  • Okay, got it:

    26/1/2013 in Gdansk, for one:

Breakfast at this hotel: http://www.gotykhouse.eu/en (was just a continental thing, but they brought it TO YOUR ROOM and everything was delish)

    Lunch at Original Burger (http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g274725-d2165152-Reviews-Original_Burger-Gdansk_Pomerania_Province_Northern_Poland.html)

Dinner was at this place which did the biggest jacket potatoes you've ever seen and it was fucking AMAZING (http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g274725-d2086091-Reviews-Bar_Pod_Ryba-Gdansk_Pomerania_Province_Northern_Poland.html)

This was all in between a shit load of drinking. Fucking great day.

      • In my experience, Sainsbury's Cafe offers the worst of the three meals there.
