let's not have a worst day one.
found a fiver in my jeans back in march
the other week when I was hungover.
That's a personal best since my teens.
Also I went on Safari, that was pretty ace, so one of those days.
But mostly the 5 wanks day.
33 hours boozing
we're having fun
I just went cycling in central with my bros but we had a great day
Got a pic of me from then in my red spiderman tshirt looking really happy
(Idk though 2013 was shit so this isn't saying much)
The summer really was awesome to be fair.
and then had dinner at a rainforest lodge and then trekked through a rainforest to have a look for some monkeys and that but didn't see any so ended up eating some "medicinal" tree bark that killed my taste buds
for the left hand! amirite
Actually i dont even enjoy it, honking
Favorite day was Probably when i saw a rabbit in my hotel at Chessington World of Adventures, was funny as nobody claimed it was theirs then it just left.
on only my second ever gig.
That seems bloody ages ago. Really need to get back on stage again.
Shock factor: none
Son number 2 arrives safe and sound
and I had a lovely birthday too this year.
The day I met my niece was born and I got to hold her for the first time was obviously brilliant, but it was quite stressful too.
She farted on my hand about twenty seconds in. Definitely related.
for the first month or so my boyfriend and I felt like we were in a lovely holiday cottage and we'd have to go home soon.
probably one of the most uplifting, liberating and joyous moment of my life.
Got offered a new job :)
or the day we went to Capri while we were on holiday in August.
When I crush Sheeldz for the DiS Div 2 NFL Fantasy football Championship
my birthday, I just got a new job after months of interviews and applications and frustration, went to Bath Spa with my sister, lunch at Demuths then out for pizza and wine at a proper pizza restaurant that wasn't freaking Pizza Hut with the boys and Mr S
there were a couple of big ones though:
* the day we saw our house for the first time and were all like, THIS WILL BE OURS!
* the day we moved into our house and were all like, THIS IS OURS!! :D
The day we got back from the After Dark drunk and found 4 letters telling my girlfriend she'd got a massive tax repayment and we danced around the living room
* The day i saw the look on my girlfriend's face when we got to St Pancras and she found out i was taking her to Amsterdam
* The Sunday of Primavera
* The day i woke up really drunk and we realised that we'd lost all the presents that my girlfriend had been given the night before somewhere and i went to the pub at 11am and saw the lions win the series against Australia and i went and bought a phone and met my girlfriend and our mate Jamie in the pub where we'd left all the presents the night before and they were theere and we went for a long walk along the river and it was really sunny and i ended up drinking for 16 hours and it was AWESOME!
i meant Saturday. stupid out of sync festival
Told my gf we were going out somewhere for dinner, but didn't specify where.
Drove up to York, where we spent our first weekend away together .
Proposed on the steps of York Minster. She said yes. :D
Second would be the day where my band started recording our album, and I had an offer accepted on an amazing house.
that would so not be my best day of 2013.
was a close second. JOKE OBVIOUSLY.
kraftwerk's top spot easily.
Lying in a hammock in 35 degree sunshine, endless glasses of wine at my disposal and my head completely empty of worry and, even, conscious thought.
Felt like a glimpse of what inner peace might be like. If that indeed actually exists.
is physical. i.e. fat.
lay in a hammock strung up on the Bodhi tree in 35-degree sunshine with endless glasses of wine at his disposal for 49 days.
I'd rather be in Croydon.
This is why everyone says you're the worst DiSer.
Saturday of Arctangent, Harbour Festival, St Paul's Carnival, the day my mate put on a festival in Leeds, someone's housewarming, seeing Neil Young, the 20 hour drinking day, the day I worked out how to do Index on Excel. So many winners this year.
Stressful but all round amazing. The first of my closest friends to get married, it was totes emosh.
3rd year together and seeing Jason Lytle at the Haunt that night. Had a fucking wonderful day.
When I saw you'd replied to this thread, I KNEW it would be Stamford Bridge.
Really actually was probably Southampton away. Had an incredible day out, we played brilliantly and won, genuinely thought we were going to stay up and my mate Fred sent the best text message of all time to his new gf
*Can't wait to be in you again. PS have you seen my debit card?*
No, I haven't seen it.
Start of November, a Saturday. Prolonged argument with ex over whatsapp/skype for various reasons. Felt awful. Was going out to see a friend of mine DJ somewhere but none of my friends wanted to join. Forced myself out anyway. Ended up having a really good night and meeting and hooking up with charming girl who I'm now seeing (I think)
It's ok, we're still 2013 so I can risk Forza's wrath/jealousy without risking making next year's list.
The day the Jets bust up the Saints was pretty good.
My best day was when I found out that my (then) 8 month old son didn't have to have open heart surgery. He'd been diagnosed with a serious heart condition at 3 months and they thought they would have to operate and he also might not be able to play sports and other stuff like that.
When we took him back the docs in March this year they said he had made amazing progress, he didn't need surgery after all and that the problem showed every sign of clearing up by itself. Best of all, his life would be totally normal and wouldn't be affected.
Was easily the best day of my entire life
But then again I am in the vague and meaningless stage of my life.
But I want to be right out of the running for 2014 shittest disser and I swear Forza has google alerts set up when I post.
and chanced upon a friend from home who now lives in Switzerland and drank beer with him and his wife all day, then in the evening drank rum and ginger and shots with another friend all night and rolled in at 4am having spent a truly excellent day of drinking with no hangover to follow. 10/10
the day I handed in my masters dissertation, which gave me a pretty huge feeling of relief and contentment
done a few things that were actually fun and stuff but nothing was quite a satisfying
really average day
Me and three good friends got the train from Brighton and went to the Editions Mego all-dayer at the De La Warr Pavilion.
On paper it wasn't that great a day, but I was in a really good mood for some reason, and so were my mates. None of us could work out why but we just went with it. We were really giggly and hyperactive which was a little out of place for a day of austere experimental music. When we arrived we got stoned on the beach and just spent the rest of the day wandering around aimlessly. The music there ended up being really really good, but we went for a massive curry in the evening in town so didn't see a great deal of it. Main memory is of us collapsing in a fit of giggles in some small pitch black room where there was a strobe light and a fan blowing balloons around.
Dunno, like I say it doesn't sound amazing or anything but all of us were at our full best that day and it was a bunch of old mates just hanging out together, really innocent and carefree like.
pretty much sums up what would be my worst day ever :(
I remember there being a notice outside the room saying something like "Warning: this art installation contains balloons". I think we popped quite a few of them.
Spent most of it in bed
shortly after moving into a new house to say that I'd received a fairly large bill and to query (i) the dates, and (ii) the price. Totally worded the fucker reet well and backed it up with meter readings, pictures, the works. Got a response from them a few weeks later basically saying they'd cocked it all up and that I had no bill to pay. I was like, "EAT MY FUCKING TITS YOU FUCK-FUCKS YAAAASSSSS" and so on. I really was Quite Pleased.
I think it was some time in late August. Let's say...a Tuesday.
It was such a great setlist, got up the very front. Band I had been meaning to see for a long time.
I had a lot of good times with friends and moved to Dublin which was nice.
friends and family spilling out of the pub onto the street in smithfield. balmy august night. one of my oldest friends carried into a taxi at 8.30pm, lmao. another one doing the worm down the hotel corridor with no clothes on. meeting everyone for breakfast in the hotel the next morning. best day of my life.
Bank Holiday Weekend in August. Went for a curry with some old uni friends on the Friday evening, then had an amazing date on Saturday which ended at lunchtime the next day, and then went to Notting Hill Carnival on the Monday and had beers on the pavement in the sun with a couple of my best mates in London.
There's been lots of good'uns this year though.
Rijksmuseum, ice cream, blunts. Just so great.
Japandroids at Dingwalls a close second.
