but that's not important right now.
which is good for arsenal, but apparently he'll miss the barca game, which is a shame for all of us.
can we drop giroud for podolski now?
that City can lose Aguero and still have Negredo as a back up. Puts the whole Giroud-Bendtner axis into sharp relief.
is shift David Silva into his proper position of playing behind a striker. Which on the evidence of how he tore the shit out of Bayern should be a terrifying prospect on it's own.
Think it might be some mind games from Pellegrini though as there was one story saying that he would be back by the 12th Jan. Might just be wishful thinking on my part though.
Pretty excited every time he's played he's looked proper classy.
let's talk about football
I'd like to see him play for someone with a big striker up front. Or England.
Could be an interesting subthread.
Met him at Altrincham ice rink once.
and he turned round and waved at me. He was 6' 6".
He's fucking massive mate. Must be at least 8 foot.
as he warmed up. Then Ballack started warming up and looked at most two inches shorter than him, but didn't look at all gangly or weird.
Peter Crouch 6' 7"
Check your prescription.
crouch is 6-7
loved looking at players heights
5'4" Alan Wright
he was tiny on FIFA 99, looked like a child
(Jurgen Klinsmann is 5' 11")
but y'know what I mean.
well remind me to avoid looking at any photos or video of Poyet during or following that match please.
in the big time cup. chelsea can't score, eh.
Then Zabaleta pulls up.
If Yaya Toure stubs his toe or something, we'll probably end up beating them on Boxing Day!
For all this talk of City having a monstrously deep squad - they seem to me to be as reliant on pretty much every other big club on the brilliance of 2/3 key individuals (Kompany, Toure, Aguero). With those 3 out, they're beatable for sure.
* - Maybe not at the Etihad but City are famed for their freak home defeats at Christmas eh?
** - I realise the point about squad depth is more pertinent in the context of the length of the season over the odd game here and there etc.
at Bayern Munich without any of those 3 on the pitch but I take your point.
Still think us beating you on Boxing Day with 2/3 of those out isn't inconceivable though...
*awaits inevitable 7-0 humping*
sunday's Rodgering has filled me with confidence! I'm even quite hopeful of something at Chelsea now, considering how crap they look.
Not looking forward to Jordan GOAT Henderson bullying the fuck out of our midfield.
We play them away on the 28th. I'm not saying we are going to beat them (far from it), but hopefully it will help keep the score down. We were very good away to Chelsea at the weekend, despite the defeat.
No idea what happened in our game really, can't be bothered to find out.
you bossed it but were completely incapable of killing it off because your strikers are naff. Eventually your whole team (except for Gahill blessim) got fed up and Sunderland wanted it more.
I can't actually think of any so no, I wouldn't bother.
Incidentally, I think Arsenal have broken our hoodoo now. See you for the Bayern match.
I'll probably never see a single second of the Arsenal-Chelsea game
We lose most games.
go and stick some bets on Willian to score a shed load of goals this weekend. i can promise you will win money.
Wouldn't be so bad if their replacements weren't injured also. Richards is out with a torn hamstring and Jovetic was meant to play last night but didn't even appear on the bench as we didn't fulfil out quota of subs, so rumours are abound that he's picked up his fourth injury in as many months, though i've not checked for updates online this morning.
Still, it is quite tiresome when the top clubs moan about injuries, though in reality everyone has the same size squad of senior players (two in every position) and absences are always relative to a club's targets.
Hard to quibble too much (three paragraphs, wut?!) as we're going great guns, but we're Vincent Kompany's latest injury away from fielding the worst defence in top four history. For all our means it still makes me chuckle that we rely on tinpot defenders so regularly, but then i guess it's the "Barca way" eh.
Which if anything just makes losing them a bigger blow.
Who is the worst short player of all time?
Did it with Guidetti a few weeks ago. Think only the matchday squad and the staff travel to away games, though.
and Jovetic started throwing up an hour before the game. I presume Jovetic was meant to start and Lopes was going to get some game time later but will have been replaced by Nasri or Fernandinho.
Jovetic is meant to be back for Saturday.
and they were all tiny, tiny men (I'm guessing average height was 5'5")?
I talk about it all the time
1) Atletico Madrid in Spain, Bayern Munich in Germany, Lazio in Italy … who in England?
2) After another year of managerial departures, who is now the second longest-serving manager in the Premier League?
3) In which tournament did Wolfsburg lift the trophy after beating Lyon in the final?
4) Bradford City dispensed with their mascot, The City Gent, after he lost what?
5) Who saw red after booting 17-year-old Charlie Morgan?
6) What links Yeovil, Crystal Palace and Bradford City in 2013?
7) Whose best result at the Confederations Cup was a 6-1 defeat?
8) In May which former Chelsea striker claimed he wanted to adopt a baby rescued from a sewage pipe in China?
9) Who was the first manager in English league football to be sacked in 2013?
10) Who was the highest scoring Englishman in the 2012-13 Champions League?
but I happen to know that no, that one is not Big Sam
Also, santi's little helpers :D
the ex-city lad who was jailed last year for causing two deaths by dangerous driving
Fucking idiot as well obviously.
after spending 100 odd million in summer just gone on a boat load of new signings, most of which were risky (wrong word), and a load of pre season hype about title challenges.
both prickly with media and fans.
when hughes went it was seen as slightly harsh / uncertain what would happen next.....
that came from the sale of players rather than from the very top slice of a universe sized wedge of wonga.
followed by three consecutive games against relegation contenders over Christmas.
We'll jizz all over the craftless tarts.
think they have a 1/3 chance of drawing city in the semis
to beat each other over two legs for a pointless trophy.
Maybe a little toe only
both decent long-suffering types and that
