watch it. Second Series was particularly great
But taken on it's own terms its funny
not funny enough for me to watch the second season. Yeah, season.
it was much better than the first
without season 2 of Veep, see if I care, I was only trying to help
*if you can forgive it being a lesser thick of it
it's a different show :D
It's fucking great
you do it
I tell you the truth, it is hard for Gringo to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for Gringo to enter the kingdom of God. When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?” Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible
this great Sacrament revere
i am also in love with julia louis-dreyfus and anna chlumsky, which adds nothing to the question but i felt i needed to profess that love in a public forum.
to have fancied anna c. in like 93 and then to fancy her again now
Second series: brilliant
We're better cause they were about something that seemed like it mattered more
just calmly tears into him after one too many insults.
occasionally it is, but not especially often.
it's no 'Flarp' or 'Pludge'
I often remark to people at gigs ''you can't buy these guys on itunes. You know why? Cos they're not for fucking sale''
Then we fall about laughing.
It's alright, but it's just not The Thick Of It. I'm sure if I was American I might like it. Some of you bellwhiffs who pretend to take an interest in US politics will love it.
Although to be honest, as far as US remakes go, it's infinitely better than The Office, presumably because Ian Ucci is involved.
I really, really enjoyed it. The debate episode particularly.
It's enjoyable to watch, but not funny.
It's got even funnier with each season. Especially when Jonah is around.
Also all of the insults at Jonah are just the greatest.
I love when Amy's boyfriend (or then boyfriend anyway) insults him in season 2. And then in a later episode even lays into Sue as well ('Hey, Sue, don't talk to me that way, okay? You're the secretary to the vice president. That's like being Garfunkel's roadie, okay?'). Has been subsequently kind of weird seeing him play a really meek guy in Silicon Valley.
don't think it's that well written or constructed but really watchable just for the great cast
...The Thick of It, IMO.
it's consistently pretty funny but there's a few episodes where they seem to just completely forget to include anything amusing and it feels a bit flat
the episode with the finish prime minister in particular was brutal
