andy carroll to retire?
good goals last night?
watching champs league tonight?
our midfield is awful though. Tonev is so bad, I cant remember Sylla doing anything ever
Seems like FIFA bureaucracy did them a favour.
think they got Danny Graham instead so everyones a winner
you could argue he's just in berahino's way, mind
Have to go through all that "DEEEEERRRRRRRRRR LIVERPOOL SPEND 35 SQUILLION DERRRRR BUT DEY THINK THEY SPEND MINUS 15 DERR" stuff all over again despite the fact he's done absolutely nothing for West Ham but break.
They'll almost definitely win the group even if they lose. Probably best to secure top spot and send out the kids (i.e. a slightly different collection of £25m attacking midfielders) in December given the fixtures we have then, mind.
Getting a bit fucking sick of Arsenal and United being on ITV. I know the reasons but fuck everyone anyway.
it's ALWAYS fucking United.
pretty sure ITV picked Celtic - Barca over Arsenal this season. Stupid cunts.
except for when united are away because itv are an awful bunch of cunts
idk, I'm having a shit day and blaming ITV for it. I think that's fair.
surprised that celtic heroically losing 1-0 to milan didn't unseat the arsenal game tonight tbh
napoli v dortmund is probably the pick.
so got to miss out on the second half of tonight's games. can see both english teams being pretty comfortable. dortmund to drop points against napoli. might catch zenit - atletico, the football hipster's game of choice tonight
to beat them than tonight at home, we'd still need barca to do us a favour in the other game but it's definitely doable
also pleased to hear apparently boerigter and commons start
you'll need something at the nou camp which i can't see. still, getting third in a group like that is pretty impressive. would enjoy seeing celtic in the europa too
so it's not impossible but aye i'd settle for 3rd
would be good to see ajax get absolutely fuck all after their piss-poor behaviour home and away against us too
they've got the problem we (fulham) have of trying to play football against teams who are far better than us and getting shredded. the way barca are playing atm can't see you getting anything out of it but y'know, get into 'em. bunch of fairies, can't handle the physical stuff etc.
but as you say could've been humped had we had a decent striker
last few games against barca we've been pretty good at shutting up shop so if we hit them on the break and get a bit of luck we might do it, alternatively they could fuck 10 past us depending on if they're in the mood!
they're likely to beat ajax tonight to secure 1st in the group. which will mean instead of playing the 1st team who might not fancy getting kicked seven shades into, they'll play a bunch of hyper-talented kids who'll be sent back to the Bs if they don't put a shift in
last year and very nearly got beat, it ended up 0-0 at the nou camp in the last game of the group stages
tbh either options better than them needing a result out of it
Reports from the club still put him in the team for tonight, natch.
Noticed a striking resemblance between Mario Goetze and pics of a young Lee Harvey Oswald.
Come along you Guns!
(Am I doing it right?)
bet everyone in the world had £5 on atletico madrid too
Someone at the Tunisian FA has found that the Cameroon national code stipulates that to have Cameroonian nationality, you must revoke other nationalities. So dual nationality isn't allowed.
Joel Matip and Eric Choupo-Moting are are both German-born and got Cameroonian nationality to play for the national team but didn't revoke their German nationalities, so they don't need a work permit to play in the EU. So Tunisia are arguing they don't have legitimate Cameroonian nationality.
Zambia also tried to make up that Majid Bougherra was booked in the first leg and should've been suspended for the second, but he wasn't.
(not that it should've been a penalty in any event as the foul was outside the box).
like a friendly or something.
ozil's been rubbish which is annoying cos he's been really good thus far and suddenly people are saying he's doing bad AND THEN HE GOES AND PLAYS BADLY what a dick
Still probably better than watching Chelsea, mind.
losing at home to the bottom team is pretty much our thing these days
:D ian wright saying a foul outside the box should be a penalty cos it was 'sloppy'
i can't help it. it's like he's had a brain transplant and suddenly isn't the stupidest man alive.
but OH MY GOD THE ADVERTS WHEN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE IS ON. so, so bad.
great first touch.
what happens if napoli beat arsenal? and the 3 of them finish on 12 points.
we have to avoid defeat by 3 or more goals to go through. Dunno who would win, and who else would go through...
napoli have just scored anyway so that's out the window
so you're pretty much qualified. should be interesting for 1st place at least
i've not imagined it being decided on head to head have I?
and they have a mini league with head to heads counting first
They are already out Andy! They dont care!
Asking for trouble but Arsenal should go through based purely on the fact Napoli almost lost to this bunch of French clowns*
*the French clowns in BLUE fyi
looked like he does when he plays properly.
ramsey's looking more like fabregas every game. except with more tackling and stuff
Which is a little concerning- they're a tidy little side but life shouldn't be so easy for them against a load of oil money billionaires.
Very fast, powerful, athletic side. We couldn't deal with it. Southampton's pressing game is gonna cause us real problems at the weekend if we can't figure out how to fight fire with fire.
Still through, mind.
loads of people would be saying he should be sacked. for how good theyre meant to be, theyre well shit.
in like 10 games they would be
it's weird that some people still think of them as favourites for the title, especially when their manager is the kind of guy who sends their only genuinely quality striker on loan and drops the most talented player.
Don't push it
