like, £50 desperate,
to get rid of a ticket
i retract my this. i'd rather go on a date
though most of the 'Drowned in Sound' people I know don't really post on here these days.
so we can spot each other yeah?
Thanks, and apologies in advance!
I can also tell you fapps, Scout, and fidel cats are shacking with Chintzeh
you might cause some kind of jumped-up indie prick singularity.
with this man.
also coming with us is Arfie, who assures us he posted here some times, and two other non-DiSers.
Is anyone catching the We Can Go Dutch organised coaches?
Anyone got ideas for stuff to do on Sunday? Doubting being able to iplayer Dr Who in desolate Camber
cook a meal
I've only been to the ATP's at Minehead before so I'm not sure what to expect of Pontins.
Is there much choice for places to eat?
Is there much to do?
but over all it's much more fun, because after the bands there's only one place to go, so people go to it and it's fun
I was being flippant. It's much, much more fun than Minehead. Food on site is pretty dire choice-wise but in May there was a new Indian restaurant next to the chippie outside which literally doubled the alternatives for lunch and dinner.
If you get really desperate, a trip to Rye is always very pleasant.
think everyone could make some ok money by having a few more hipster food vans tho? pontins would get a fee, vans would have a pretty captive market and hipsters could eat some hipster burgers
I'm guessing it came to an end because Butlin's/Pontin's were losing out financially as a result.
whereby pontins get enough fees for licences and the vans get enough trade, but maybe not i guess huh
Will crazy golf be closed?
The arcades are open. Plus cinema. Swimming pool, go-karts, crazy golf, etc. have always been closed when I've been at Camber.
It's generally more fun because you're all forced to spend time together, plus the chalets are much better suited for being friendly than they are at Minehead.
and all you need to have fun at a music festival is music and alcohol?
*and all you need to have fun at a music festival is alcohol
We have a self catering chalet, what do we get in the way of cooking equipment/how big is the fridge?
Because they're tiny. There's a cooker, toaster etc. Make sure you bring
- Washing up liquid
- Sharp knife
- Food and drink. Unlike Minehead, there are no massive supermarkets near the site (there is one next to Rye station if you're getting the train though)
We are getting the train, is it a decent big supermarket next to the station?
And you can marvel at the alarmed looks of the till staff as they wonder why so many bearded indie people are invading their shop;
Cheers for the tips
Gutted. Bet it'd be AMAZING on that beach in November...
We can make a kite using the bed lin....oh hang on...
I've just PM'd you all my phone number, address and bank details, so get in contact!
