(This is an Asterix AND a Morcheeba reference, by the btw)
^Number 1 fan right here.
This time it will be about Scotland
(deep-blue's probably righter than you.)
than tin tin?
Tintin is great. Garbage just really have that first album and a couple of singles.
Fair point, if you won't stop with the moron act, I'll carry on liking Tintin thanks very much
Except Tintin in the Congo
hate tin tin so much
Loved that as a kid. Proper artwork, proper well-written stories in proper exotic locations with proper closet homosexual friendships.
'That fucking cunt dog':
in Teeside Tintin language.
leave tintin to us true fans who aren't faking it!
james bond is another thing people pretend to like right? no one actually liked james bond films when they were a kid
I remember watching Goldeneye when I was about nine and it was the greatest thing ever.
im talking about the old ones
Can't be doing with all the bullshit new stuff
but they just seem like bollocks
They were full of action and every kid likes the idea of being a spy. What isn't to like?
my problem with them when I was a kid
i) they were old
ii) they weren't cartoons
iii) they often displaced on bankholidays programmes that were cartoons
But can we have the full list of things people only pretend to like? I'm worried I might be pretending to like some of them, and would like to stop pretending forthwith.
science > interesting sometimes
clouds > fucking beautiful immense things. look especially impressive when the sky's red.
space > imagine not being at least a little bit fascinated by space. it's space. the bloody universe mate.
dinosaurs > you telling me that massive badass animals don't interest you in the slightest
maps > fair. i like them.
flags > fair
kit kats > not really bothered
fanta > for kids, isn't it
tin tin > not really bothered either way
whiskers on kittens
"everyone please stop pretending you like kittens. they're not even a thing."
Can't understand it.
I've been pretending to like dinosaurs. Don't know why. Dinosaurs are shit.
it's a bit of an epidemic
let alone Captain Haddock.
ol DOTS' Ma is very photogenic in night vision.
and thus Tin Tin and Asterix meant fuck all to me.
As an adult I tried to see what all the fuss was about and failed.
Now fuck off, all of you.
I've always thought tin tin was a load of balls. He was like ultimate goody two shoes.
and people looking at them going "oooooh i just LOOVVVEEE tintin" they can't even read the psoter because they don't speak belgian
not even just god man! good god man!
because it's a made up language
what about regular tins?
being into cartoons and not being a child?
I remember even when I was 8 I thought the beano and the dandy were asinine, trifling publications.
Can't see tintin being any different really, plus its belgian so probably crap anyway
it's still really racist
Although we no longer have the link to rebuild.
report away theo
like they are hiding something
plus its pink. Like I'm gonna let people at work see I'm on a pink ass website.
What browser you at?
I assume you are on IE? Just checked and it is indeed pink on IE? Odd
If you're seeing pink, that's because deep down you want to see pink.
just some jumpered gimp and his dog? what do they do? foil smugglers and stuff?
only acceptable orange soft drink is orangina
liking (or pretending to like) the rest of those is pretty infantile
You'd literally have to have never tasted an orange or orange flavoured thing in your life
doesn't mean I'm ever gonna stop shaking it to wake it, though.
1) just saw some nobhead at work drying his hands in the toilet with one hand under each hand dryer?! like 1 hand dryer can't produce enough wind for both of his massive hands. wanker.
2) you're all being tricked by coloured paper. all starburst taste the same and they've done you.
1. One per hand is normal, right?
2. You mean opal fruits?
go have a lie down
starburst taste the same if you leave the wrapper on
Beano/Dandy, Rupert the Bear or gtfo.
*was going to include Muppets and Sesame Street, but they're a slightly different case and can wait for another thread.
The only books worth looking at in the library when I was a bairn
I went to an amazing Asterix exhibition in Paris a few weekends back. You all should go.
Tin Tin was second rate, but still pretty good
but anyone that has a bad word for people that like tintin is getting asked outside should we ever meet in person.
And less mainstream
