Well, how many can you get? I'm pretty stuck aren't I?
like if there's a "the" or "a" at the front, you HAVE to put it, maybe that's it, idk
wtf is the ant man? and the horse / donkey? pissing me right off.
Lord of the flies and Don Quixote
number one is one day
Not got the others
should have got one day, proud not to get shades of grey
I was thinking it was a queen or something. It's a prince....
Read it out loud. Donkey OT
currently struggling with:
the pink plane with 'Jane' written on it
the baby with a tiari
the pink donkey with 'OT' written on it
the green ship with 'H2O' written on it
the teal bomb with peace sign
the mostly empty 1ltr bottle of water
the polka dot train
the calendar reading '1'
the ticket with 'London' & 'Istanbul' written on it
don't read anywhere enough books it seems
I'm such a fool!
3) donkey ot
4) h20 ship down
5) no idea
6) no idea
7) no idea
8) no idea
9) it's a fast train that goes east
the train ticket has bullet holes in it I think, it hasn't just been punched
is that a clue? I hate trying to figure stuff out. thinking's shit.
what would the airline be called?
I'm a cunt
Plain Jane Easy
1 hour bottle fucking cunt sack by one of the Brontes?
and you're running out. or running ___ on water
what the fuck is the train?
The train is covered in what?
Just the bottle to get
Fuck the lot of you.
the flattened earth and the space ones?
like, a symbol
I still can't get the bomb!
and i only know of one i havent gotten so what the fuck is the 20th thing?
ps give me a bomb clue
what else are they called?
and what's a bomb usually mean?
What's a really long famous book about peace and war you mother fucker?
the grey prince is a book but it ain't that
boss insect? king of midgies?
stupid, useless, foul-smelling, ovine, sallow, unnatural, satanic, flaccid, batrachian
none work, run out
I've got it now. Don't spend a lot of time reading shitty little books with infantile watercolours, alright?!
(it's actually quite lovely)
Thought that was just a Studio Ghibli film tbh
it's Prince Monochrome
so got 16 but missing:
istanbul to london ticket
< grazes post >
no closer on the others - thought ticket was 80 days around world but won't take it
for dead bird
the baby is a boy, he's small, he's royal.
Train heading to the east with bullet holes in.
spotty train, oh man, so close
couldn't read the numbers unless I put my nose to the screen
First class Caboodling!
First class Caboodling!
First class Caboodling!First class Caboodling!First class Caboodling!
The Little Baby
Little Grey Man
Prince of the Flies
Small Grey Baby
The Artist Formerly Known as Baby
or Noel Edmonds or Richard Stillgoe or any small grey man that comes into my eyeline
still stuck on the ticket RARHGHGH
the 4 women one is eluding me as well
women of a similar size
4 equal girls
identical women holding hands
this is making me feel like an absolute idiot
what a fucking letdown
would be a good name.
You know that Prince?
his second sings to the heavens but can never be captured
beware of the man who walks in the cave for he may never be loved
has given you the answer
AND TELL ME WHAT THAT FUCKING JANE PLANE ONE IS?!?!?!?!?
How many have you all actually read?
My total is a pitiful 2.
But I've seen the films of three others.
And that's BETTER than reading, right?
got a 'game B' now...
i've got 4 so far and one was a complete guess. i'm also guessing the compass one and it keeps telling me i've nearly got it but when i try changing anything about it it just says WRONG.
much tougher than the first game
Can anyone give me a clue to:
Man with top hat
Wolf with pint
Where is the drink?
And Naked Lunch
It's just two letters
- The shoes
- The compass
- The magnifying glass
- The chess piece/net
- The soldiers
Got two of those
- where's the compass pointing? just type exactly what the compass would say (if it could speak) (ignore that last bit)
- if you were the one holding the net, what would you be doing doing to the castle? Think in first person.
- Think Catchphrase. Say what you see.
Now only stuck on the soldiers and the 1 magnifying glass bow thing.
Completely stumped by some of them.
Ones I don't have:
- Ice cream tank
- Magnifying glass
- the capital A
- the "V" hand signal
They're not necessarily novels I know, but trial and error now.
- For the A, what colour is it?
- The tank one is trickier. The book's about a real-life event in Glasgow. It's written by William Boyd.
Yeah that last one I've never heard of. Looked it up and it's easy if you know it.
Just magnifying glass to go.
What's he doing that the others aren't?
Just one bow-magnifier-one left to get.
Might write a novel called 'Pink Glass One Bow tie' to remedy this situation. Probably be quicker to submit a first draft than to figure out the answer.
Why does Ms Pacman wear a bow when Pacman doesn't? And stick the number on front. It's a multi-million selling series of books.
Detective gender discrimination one, how could I be so stupid?!
Done all of them now.
if that helps?
I realised it was rock and guessed. no idea what the taj mahal has to do with brighton though.
it's even annoying when you get them right.
the portrait of a lady fuck
pls I have so much work to do
ballet shoes fuck it to fuck
Shoes - What are they? What type of shoes?
Marching soldier - almost there. What's special about the trio of soldiers. Only one is marching. What position is he in?
just need the soldiers.
...he's at the front?
I hate the world and everyone in it
- the uncle sam guy
- the red A
- the 3 soldiers
- the portrait
uncle sam is from where?
what's he saying?
not red, try a different shade
look at one fo the soldiers, he's doing something theothers aren't
what's it a portrait of?
- the uncle sam guy
What fast food chain does he remind you of? What hole is his finger almost in?
- the red A
What letter of the alphabet is that? How big is the letter?
- the 3 soldiers
What colour are the soldiers? What are they wearing on their feet?
- the portrait
What has been used to draw the picture, would you say it's a good picture?
for now there mini ones every few days.
Totally stuck on the pink DevilFootballScoreSign, otherwise I'm pretty much there
an embarrassing amount of those, I just wrote what I saw and got it right without ever having heard of the book.
t all I could think of for the candles and compass was "candles in the wind" urgh
Stuck on blue egg spoon ring, heaven vs. hell, arabic EI and little green island.
If someone could gimme some hints, it's well frustrating!
and what's it printed on?
It's doing my nut in.
7 so far. Inane grin when my favourite book was included.
stuck on 12, the purple square with 248C beneath it is laughing at me, I have a strong feeling I'm going to especially kick myself when I realise what it is.
the heaven v hell, NESW chandelier, arab EI, ice cream scoop, gone hunting, clock compass, and spoon ring.
where is the windmill?
imagine the building is owned by the thing next to it
spoon egg ring box
1:40 anticlockwise arrow
framed grey door picture
pink icecream scoop
cat notice of hunt
small green island
oh turns out i dont know the hell 3 heaven nil
rearrange grey door picture, sort of...
You're nearly there. Just take out or rearrange some words...
The spoon in the box
And you're most of the way there with the ice cream scoop. And heaven didn't win, therefore it...
im certain i thought of that but then clearly didnt actually get it
Is more like a certain type of meal (from a certain time of day) in a very specific place. What kind of box is it?
I would never have got the clock one if I didn't know the book.
The island I can't get at all.
backwards arrow clock
that's on the candyfloss, you mean?
never heard of it
got that one now by hammering words into the box, never even heard of the book, same for the pink ice cream scoop. On 15 now. The Heaven 0 Hell 3 came to me when I was sat minding my own business yesterday, hadn't looked at the quiz, my brain just piped up like "hey, I know what that is"
Hadn't actually heard of the book. With the clock one it doesn't matter that the clock's backwards or the time it's pointing to.
you want some clues for those two?
windup bird with chronicle
sign with E1
lion gone hunting
although no idea how it makes sense
Arrow clock is a say-what-you-see sort of thing. Gone Hunting, children's book, what sort of animal is the pawprint? (it's not a lion).
I still need the E.I., lightbulb everything, windup bird and the purple square
what does a lightbulb do?
purple square - what is the main thing about it?
Surprised myself a bit. The one I didn't get was the street sign, and I definitely wouldn't have got the clock were I not a big fan of the book, and it's author.
havnt even got close bashing in random words (which helped with the Gone Hunting one).
the bird paper one
the start one
the missing girl one
the jokers hat
and the lightbulb
could someone please just pm me the rest of the answers?
the angels sing
the arrow clock
First one, what does a clock show? Add that to the Arrow...
The second one is a street in East London
The third is very simple if you ignore what seems to be the clue
The fourth is the first in a series of fantasy kids books - focus on the top of the chandelier and what chandeliers are a fitting of
The fifth one... what does a lightbulb do? And what if it did that to 'Everything'...?
totally clueless over here
The orange bottle of something or other with George on it.
What is in the bottle and who does it belong to?
Still stuck on time arrow and windup bird with paper
I'd not considered anything other than an actual drink, like whisky in the bottle.
the person makes the thing
that's the story
sun over the skyscraper
ICE CREAM AND PALM TREES LEFT
For the palm trees, it's stupidly simple. Just say what it is (I'd never heard of the novel in question, was just a guess).
if you asked the person who left the note to elaborate what might they say they were doing "....."
and found it. Never heard of it!
Showed it to my gf, she literally got it in two seconds. FFS.
enlisted a card carrying member of the LME to get the sign one for me
If you're not getting it then you probably have heard of the book.
that IS literal, just typed in what was there. Shit name for a book, I'm never reading it out of general principle
Candy Floss Windmill
Spoon Jewelry Box
Read all the clues upthread. Got no fucking idea.
- which skyscraper is it?
- it isn't a mirror, but it is in a frame
- which meal are you likely to eat with a spoon?
Will have a think on the other ones. The candy floss one is still baffling me.
Never heard of it.
Actually kind of angry.
Okay one to go.
it's not required reading at school? theres loads of people (plenty of them well-read too) who manage to get through their lives without reading/hearing about critically acclaimed or niche classics, english degree or not.
I did the first year of an english lit & philosophy degree and had heard of maybe 50% of the books people talked about. There are absolutely shitloads of books out there!
and give me some clues regarding the Heaven and Hell one?
