something smart, not ridiculously expensive, NO technical jackets
I think I might stick to technical jackets :(
these are the important issues of our time
if i could get something for half that i'd be happy
looking for a heavy coat I can wear for work, and i dress pretty smart most of the time anyway. Could possibly stretch to 'country gent'
going somewhere like house of fraser or john lewis is probably the best idea cause i think you need to try coats on first to see what looks good. i think most coats from places like reiss are about that price anyway. http://www.reiss.com/mens/coats-and-jackets/
how about a nice double breasted wool coat? is that what you have already? i personally like duffle coats but they're not that smart.
it might be a pain in the arse if it doesn't fit and you need to return it to italy, but you can generally find really nice stuff on there for the same sort of price most shops/department stores would charge before the sales. mostly the labels are the kind of upmarket italian ones that don't even bother with websites. the pictures are always terrible though, it can take a bit of imagination sometimes.
like DD says probably best to buy in store as I need to see how it looks on my weirdly shaped body, but seems like I could pick up something really swish online for a song.
Hmm.. given me a few ideas anyway
these threads are weekely once winter hits.
that combines the style of a technical jacket with the practicality of a casual jacket
i mean, i'm wadded, etc, etc, but still.
i'd expect to pay at least £150.
