miso =/= miso soup. go back to school pal.
^this is some of the most ballin potato salad of all time. Goes great with MEAT.
just had pretty much the same thing from M&S which prompted the question....
boil baby potatoes until suitably soft
immediately dress in bitter and seasoning
wait a bit until cooled then add and mix 1/2 mayo, 1/2 creme fraiche - according to taste I guess, I use about 2 big spoons of each, spring onions if you like, more pepper
hard boiled egg on the side?
London Pride okay?
boil new potatoes
finely chop red onion and garlic
drain potatoes and add garlic while still hot, add a glug of olive oil
when potatoes are cool add light mayo (not extra light just light) and onion, add dijon mustard
add freshly chopped basil/parsley
Use vinaigrette rather than mayo - I tried this with balsamic and mustard, and it was pretty ace.
Boil new potatoes, then rinse with cold water or they carry on cooking themselves and go mushy.
Chop a bunch of spring onions and half a red onion, stir into the potatoes with quite a bit of olive oil, a bit of butter, and a bit of mayo, although I go quite light on the mayo.
Squeeze on a little bit of lemon juice, season with pepper and that big flaky salt you can get. Maldon Salt or whatever its called.
Serve with green salad, sausages and Reggae Reggae Sauce, washed down with two bottles of booze.
so I wouldn't include it, personally.
Cornichons, those tiny pickled onions, capers, anchovies, some chilis - all those really tasty things you can't just shove in your face on their own. Tart up the spuds: puttanesca potato salad ftw
going to have potato salad for tea later now, with sausages and sweetcorn
that was excellent. i recommend that
bacon/salami/pancetta or similar fried
white wine vinegar
some herbs + spices if desired (chives are nice, as is a bit of smoked paprika)
