what a film. thoroughly enjoyed watching it again last night
we're havin' a ball
Love that film
it seems to be a bit glossed over in the film and, for the most part, is pretty light hearted. i was reading the wiki page and it pretty quickly uses the phrase "married predatory paedophile". it's pitched so weird.
this is the morning thread? You fucking cunt!
Was all set for a quiet night in lsat night before my mate texts me and asks me to go to the Football Manager Pub Quiz. They'd booked out Nando's for it. It was essentially an evening of the obscurest footy trivia, free booze and chicken all night. Oh, and as we left we each got a free copy of FM, £10 nandos gift voucher and, er, an FM lanyard (i guess they've been taking inspiration from Royter's thread). Great stuff.
However, now I am hungover to death. I will now get coffee
and I was expecting a bit of grot.
Remember being quite disappointed.
Happy Tuesday btw
Going to fail spectacularly I think.
but ended up watching some documentary about the lady who wrote it and that was fairly tragic enough :(
Yeah I needed a pretty long walk after seeing that. Sheesh.
It was about 1am, settled down in a beanbag with a glass of whisky, girlfriend promptly fell asleep and I sat there feeling emotionally battered for an hour and a half. Clio Barnard's new one (The Selfish Giant) doesn't look any more chirpy but I'll definitely be giving it a watch.
I just went all the way to the Gyle (hellblasted trading estate/office park on the edge of Edinburgh) to pick up a package that I thought was a b'day present for the thinly-veiled but it turns out it's actually a McCain Wedges bowl that I ordered in a freebie promotion about four months ago. Great stuff.
I'm gonna watch that Four Horsemen documentary about banking tonight, anyone seen it? Good?
thoroughly recommend the Hop Head Red by the Greenflash brewery.
I really loved that film a lot, I rewatched it recently and it's much darker than I remember.
The start of My Summer of Love when Mona is in the car with Ricky always reminds me of it, I don't know if that's on purpose or not.
I did see Thor 2 last night though. It was so boring I called in sick to work today
'jump' was never the same for me after seeing this film.
Bit weird, as essentially it's just about a nonce banging Gary Sparrow's wife, and an old man racially abusing one of the lads out of Goodness Gracious Me, but yeah, genuinely, genuinely a great film.
