PLATO: Yeah but you reckon it's genuine or it's just an act, I mean it's one of the great literary enigmas loik is he really that thick or what
SOCRATES: Well he can't be that thick else how would he have gotten a job as a radio producer; and incidentally, it's blatantly a bit of an act.
PLATO: Yea but actually some of the things he says are really insightful anyway like philosophy or something like the sort of shit we should say. Gee Socrates we should do a podcast
people criticised Extras for being quite visibly influenced by Curb Yr Enthusiasm; and Hello Ladies looks to me to be an attempt at pretty much outright copying it, albeit with some shaky premise tacked on.
He's completely disavowed all knowledge of the place, keeps refusing requests for a visit or even an 'aspirational' message. This is apparently because he was predicted an A for his English A level, and ending up with a B, or something. Brilliantly petty.
Would have just been the most popular guy in school. I'm sure he remembers all his school days with a glowing sense of nostalgia. I can think of why he wouldn't want to have that place publicly associated with his name at all.
So is Gabby Logan
let the poor boy wank

People who can't construct a sentence are annoying.

SOCRATES: Hmm
hate that cunt so much
Guess which celebrity I walked past in Soho about 4 years ago?
(Couldn't be bothered to post a thread about it and seemed the logical place to mention it).
David Cassidy?
Bill Murray
Stephen Merchant?
Dame Thora Hird
Leslie Ash?
Thomas Pynchon?
Jay-Z?
John Logie Baird?
Titus Bramble?
Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink?
He is fine, nowhere near as bad as Ricky Gervais.
Although his eyes look like they are trying to escape his head.
Jay Z's Laugh
thing about his new series for me is
people criticised Extras for being quite visibly influenced by Curb Yr Enthusiasm; and Hello Ladies looks to me to be an attempt at pretty much outright copying it, albeit with some shaky premise tacked on.
A mate of mine works at the school he used to go to

I'm sure a tall lanky and vaguely ugly guy who was bookish and wanted to be a comedian

+ why would he ever tell anyone the reason if it was something as petty as that.
Sure he would just say no and that would be that.
Always comes across as a nice bloke
Thought he was brilliant in the second series of extra's. Not convinced about hello ladies, isn't it going to be the same every week?
Funny cameo in Hall Pass

You could argue that if he and Ricky Gervais weren't so good at being annoying
The Office wouldn't be as brilliant as it was.

But it was, very often, writing about being annoying.
