it would be a shame to remove that 1920s wallpaper though
only 7000 square metres
On thef contrary, the land level is actually rising in most of Scandinavia
altogether different than the post-glacial crustal bounceback that accounts for Northern Scandinavia's land mass rise
Are you suggesting the entire lake will rise with the landmass?
This won't be affected by sea-levels.
However, it is fed directly by freshwater so if you're saying the landmass rises in Sweden as one then, yes, there will be no appreciable affect on the level of the water in that lake, apart from a small rise due to the lowering of air pressure, surely?
climate change will bring increased rainfall but also increased levels of surface evaporation
the air pressure wont really be as significant a factor
then again, the lake systems in Sweden - particularly in that area - are massively complex and interconnected and this particular lake does flow into the sea so sea level rises will have some effect
still, the northern 3/4 of Scandinavia is rising due to post-glacial crustal bounceback so the island is safe
glad we got that sorted
unless the sea rises to the edge of the lake, which seems highly unlikely.
Rainfall would have to be higher than the significant outflow of the lake too. However, drops in the amount of fresh water feeding it could also affect things, obviously.
through existing drainage channels?
If the water freezes enough to skate on in winter then I'll have it! Do you think they'll take a postal order?
definitely freezes enough to skate on for about 2 or 3 months of the year - maybe as much as 5
about 400m ish from the nearest mainland point - in a lake
I need a winter holiday home. I'll just check down the back of the couch...

Did Scooby Doo teach us nothing?
Nowhere near as good as my £900 pcm single room, shared bathroom dive in Crackham.
All the servers could be moved that and Theo could be the resident caretaker, he would be required to grow unusual head and facial hair though, such that would only be tolerated upon an island, then Disers can win holidays to stay there.
On a serious note, although one might say that a website needs to be based in london, if it had such a location and accomodation then you could give really rather superb intervierws/video interviews with famous people, possibly even get commissioned by other media to do the interviewing (like the BBC....or go further have a recording set up there, make music there are well.....just fantasising, everything being in London or other capitals or big cities is just so boring and industry
get a Kickstarter going
