Was reading a water soaked copy of the Waitrose magazine yesterday and they had 101 cooking/kitchen tips. Balonz will be pleased to know that peeling ginger with a teaspoon was one of them.
Another was - If you add too much salt to a pot of soup/stew/casserole etc bung in a peeled half a spud and this will absorb all the excess salt.
