some where relaxing preferably - an not too freezing cold?
it was great, and bonus relaxing points for the thermal baths. Not sure it's much warmer than here, mind.
probs for three days
kindof a destress type thing, maybe with a couple of nice cultural things to do
Belfast (never been)
I recommend it in pretty much all of these threads (in particular how much I prefer it to Barcelona); cheap flights, cheap hotels, plenty of cultural stuff, loads of nice eating and drinking, plus the weather should still be decent in October...
also Bruges (just got back from both). Amsterdam is obviously a bit livelier (and the flight is like 30 minutes), but Bruges is very pretty with lots of museums and touristy bits.
went to ghent a few years back about october time and that was really nice.
My favourite city
my only criteria is that it's in Britain really.
So far the options we've come up with are:
The Peak District
Any other good ones? Last year my boyfriend and I had good holidays in Liverpool, Glasgow and the Yorkshire Dales.
that looks lovely!
And handy for punnage, in your case.
It's near Alnwick and its castle too.
If you are doing the Peak District I'd recommend Bakewell, Castleton, Buxton.
I've not been but I have heard great things about the Northumberland coast - Alnwick and that
seville - 140 sniffs for 3 nights, hotel (4*) breakfast and london flights
might see you there
I went on holiday to Menorca in October 2014
Looks great. Eat steak, drink wine. Super.
