I don't see how they couldn't make a TV show of termtime Harry and co hijinx that would be a cross between Grange Hill and Scooby Doo, think it would be perfectly decent as long as it didn't descend into Russell T Davies "must try to destroy the world at every opportunity" histronics.
A series where Harry, Ron et all getting up to japes and tomfoolery in school, hijinks in Diagon Alley. I always find the films start and end really nicely, and I like discovering more of the wizarding world, but they always have to get all serious in the middle and have to try and kill Voldemort.
Hmm

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is neither a prequel nor a sequel to the Harry Potter series, but an extension of the wizarding world," JK Rowling muttered darkly
Give it 15 years
and they will have new Harry Potter films, reboots, an animated series on Nickelodeon and all sorts of shit going on.
would have been more interested in a prequel tbh
something based on the early days of the death eaters.
Think fans were rabid for the idea of James and Lily Potter schooldays as a prequel

I would be in favour of a nice version of the wizarding world.

on a Russell T Davies note, maybe a Harry Potter style Torchwood
where there's just loads of barely necessary unsubtle sex and swearing in an attempt to grab the adult Harry Potter fan demographic.
