for those of you willing to admit in public that you like star trek, this is happening:
How can Pavel Chekov still be alive 10 years AFTER Star Trek Voyager has finished?
Checkov born in 2245, voyager ended 2378. Therefore 10 years after that would suggest that Chekov is 143 years old
Obviously I'm too old
i think having tuvoc as the lead character would've been stronger/more believable
there's an episode of TNG where McCoy is in his 130s
143 is pretty spectacular, given that McCoy was supposed to be the oldest human ever at 137
Why the fuck am I debating this? ;o)
miles better than yer jj abrams aLtErNaTe TiMeLiNe lens flare shitwank
haven't bothered to see the newer one as it's apparently utter wank
I though the first one was a fun enough space romp, above average cosplay bullshit popcorn fare. Second one is ponderous, nonsensical and bloated, pinging superficial references to the first season of the original series around in lieu of a plot. Pointless and numbingly loud.
i didn't bother with enterprise either as i'd read everywhere that it too was baws
but there was no way I could watch the whole series after hearing that theme music!
I've not really watched any series post-TNG to be fair though. I might be missing out on some good stuff but it's far too dense to start ploughing through now.
but voyager is definitely worth giving a shot too, there's some cracking stuff with the borg
once I've rattled through that I might give one a go then. I was hoping it was on Netflix, then I could watch on lunch breaks, otherwise I rarely get the chance.
fuck you starnerds
