Rachel McAdams lezzes about with Noomi Rapace.
'For better as well as worse, Passion is vintage Brian De Palma sexploitation.'
That's my evening sorted then...
If she didn't sleep with directors/producers, she wouldn't be allowed anywhere near the parts she's played.
Some actors are fit though
The whole casting couch culture is pretty nasty.
...your claims appear without substance at the moment.
rather than fapping away like made over some vacuous shit.
I don't like Rachel McAdams though. Just find the characters she plays annoying. Off the top of my head though you've got The Notebook, The Vow, The Time Travellers Wife (steer well clear). Obviously The Notebook is fantastic, The Vow is a 7/10 (soundtracked by The National tho so..) and TTTW is a 2/10 at best.
Its just calculated over-sentimentality really isn't it.
if it's just Gosling and McAdams then it's a great love film, but it just gets fucked up with that stupid cliched idiotic ending.
Also 84% audience appreciation which tells you it's REALLY shit.
I'd give up Fifa for these chicks. Not Tiger though. Skin challenge, innit
not the foggiest
Wedding Crashers (McAdams' fittest showing to date)
They're excellent to watch, although this may be due to PTSD caused by Jude Law not being utterly hilariously terrible.
The first one is passable, but the second is fucking terrible. RDJ is just playing Tony Stark again, there's no sleuthing and no plot.
I enjoyed it, none-the-less. I really enjoyed the first one. There are millions of Holmes interpretations out there so it's not like I can't dip into a Brett classic any time I choose.
Obviously we're agreed that Without a Clue is the best Holmes film, right?
Actually I love Brett too.
All I can remember is that a gypsy goes missing, Holmes has to dress as a woman (for no clear reason) just to catch a train and then someone's trying to start the first world war.
It's also crammed with those stupid slow-mo scenes, a shit villain and a female lead who serves no purpose at all.
I haven't seen it since it came out. I seem to recall the plot is essentially a lead up to The Final Problem using the notion of Moriarty being interested in starting World War I in Europe in order to profit. Thematically it reminded me of The Man Who Was Thursday in that sense of anarchism and revolution that literature of implies was prevalent at the end of the 19th C and start of the 20the C.
Yeah, it was rigged to have some fairly clichéd set pieces. I didn't think it was the greatest film ever but it wasn't the complete mess of vacuous nonsense that, say, Van Helsing or Transformers was.
That comment was more about picking a film on account of the ladies in it being eye-candy, particularly when one of the two ladies mentioned is utterly terrible as an actress, not something I'd say Rachel McAdams is.
It's just science isn't it
Mean Girls is one of the best films ever obviously, plus she's very beautiful. Is she still going out with Michael Sheen? He struck lucky there.
Oh this is too hard.
Where's wishpig :(
I wish he'd get you too.
Way to curse yourself buddy.
Since then he's been going out with Caitlin Fitzgerald (co-star on Masters Of Sex).
(He also used to go out with Kate Beckinsale too)
He'd never know for certain would he?
Change his voice and monitor their reactions?
However I think January Jones is a good actress, so stick it.
What's she been in?
(Apart from Theo's deranged wank fantasies.)
Obviously she's been in a lot more but that's probably a famous one right?
Never seen Mad Men.
She's got a cool name.
She stinks the place up in Mad Men. Everyone else in it is good. I was hoping they'd write her out for Season 6 but no such luck.
I think she was also in one of those X-Men cash-in films that they push out every year or so.
Betty is an unpleasant character, but that's because JJ is good in it, not bad! Betty is extremely well written, I feel sorry for her a lot of the time even when she's behaving awfully.
She has flaws. I just assumed that she was meant to be cold with Don because he was such a massive dick.
Then later you realise she just can't really act very well. It gets painful to watch her in the later seasons.
I find the fact that she behaves so badly is pretty annoying, since it mostly seems to be a lame attempt by the writers to imply Don somehow wasn't a massive wanker for treating her like he did.
I think they show that Don made her into a horrible person. She used to be a happy model, with a degree, fluent in Italian etc. Her relationship with Don (and the social circumstances at the time) turned her into someone depressed and bored and lonely and angry. And now Don's doing the same to Megan.
Elisha Cuthbert was in sex-kitten mode but she was good too. It was ruined by Denise Richards and the one that looks like a siamese cat.. Ivana something-or-other
Turns out it's not really acting. She was the worst thing in X-Men: First Class.
She was Josh Groban's beard for a while too.
like Loser, Bandslam and Romy and Michelles High School Reunion
anyone got more suggestions?
I think they want American Pie.
She's All That (nostalgia)
i want terrible films that make me and a few pals shout at the screen whilst getting drunk
(terrible, but enjoyable) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0164114/
Bring It On
The Girl Next Door
John Tucker Must Die
Nick & Norah
I am fucking useless at DiS today.
btw I really like most of these films but they aren't 'critically acclaimed' or whatever.
