(I expect this thread title to attract lots of hits from Google. You're welcome, sean.)
I went for a run for the first time in a couple of years yesterday and remembered why I hate running. My arches hurt. Before I'm out of breath or getting tired legs, my arches are killing me.
Cursory searching suggests these solutions:
- get new trainers. I'd rather not splash out on expensive trainers before I know if I can keep up the routine when the weather turns foul.
- buy arch support insoles for my current trainers
- MTFU. It's probably just something my feet will get used to with time and arch supports just get in the way of my feet strengthening.
Help me Dr DiS, you're my only hope.
