Think I might do a series of these, toilet dog style.
I did nothing of the sort to her!
looks cheap, plenty to do and not TOO much of a stag-do shitehouse yet*
*ie not Riga; Amsterdam; Tallinn; Prague etc
i think he said that all the best places to go for a drink are out of the way and the sort of place you stay in for ages. and there's probably a reason why it's not as popular as prague and budapest
i dunno i've never been on a stag but i'd think that poland would be better. or somewhere on the mediterranean with piss-cheap booze and a dodgy reputation.
The med doesn't seem THAT appealing in November, but we are looking at Krakow.
We asked a couple of taxi drivers to find us a strip club and they drove us about 8 miles out of town to a bungalow on some ropey housing estate. There was a fucking massive bouncer stood outside with his arms folded who just kept repeating 'No fun, fuck only'. I got outvoted and we left.
That was about as stag friendly as it got. Nice otherwise though.
It was a blast and very well suited for a day of activities/food/drinking/dancing followed by a day of wetherspoons breakfast/drinking/train home.
fucking hell, a lot of pubs have closed/changed name since I last did (attempted) the Otley Run.
used to start at Boddington Hall bar when I were a lad.
I love Leeds.
Leeds is closed.
that was white water rafting in wales. cool as fucvk.
straight out refuse all the usual shennanigans
now that WOULD be cool
I live on the quay and I'm trying to sleep you rapscallions!
Reminds me. Some Stag cunt tempted a seagull over with his chips then jumped on it and actually ripped its head off. In front of myself and a few colleagues. There were only a few of us, and they looked pretty fighty, there were a lot of them so we didn't say anything. One of us called the authorities and said where they were and where it looked like they were heading. Fucking disgusting.
oh you've already torn it apart.
Outside of this country.
Only those with money or friends close enough to want to shell out loads of cash will come.
Can be difficult if you don't know the language, or haven't been there planning things beforehand. Not everything is online.
In this country I went caving near Bristol which was good, but a bit intense as we were all hungover from the quiet night the night before. Bristol was a good place for it, but mainly because there was a festival that evening that we ended up at.
The one I organised ended up at Barcelona, which was great having the waterfront, excellent nightlife and good places to eat, but was damn expensive. Did water-skiing and hired the GoCars there, both activities I recommend.
During the early stages I was tasked with looking into a few cities in Eastern Europe as an option, you can take a look at some of my findings here, though it is just basics and comments I found online: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7756157/Stag.xls
Talk about getting it wrong.
so not there
Plenty of nice places to get a cauldron of chili going.
And you can smash up Budget's new house once it gets a bit rowdy
plently of Philip's Uncle's Boats about, plus whisky tasting tour, ghost tour, ghost tasting tour, etc. Also Games Workshop.
it was brilliant, loads of ace cheap bars and had some very fancy food for pretty much fuck-all. Only slight issue was that a bald friend of mine couldn't get in to a club because they thought he was a neo-Nazi.
Also came back recently from an ace stag in Berlin, it's still pretty cheap over there and absoutely tonnes of stuff to do.
I'm organising a stag do in Krakow in 2 weeks time. Any tips on places to go/things to do/stag-friendly bars and restaurants for a big stag party (there will be 15 of us), would be greatly appreciated.
I'm afraid that, top lad that I am, I can remember absolutely none of the names of anywhere we visited. There was one place with some nice wardrobes I think, and also somewhere that was vaguely hawaian themed. This is not helpful.
Some people were chatting recently about recent trips to Poland so I'm sure a 'what to do in Krakow' thread would get some more helpful replies.
and why is Warny his best man?
One of the most soul destroying things I have ever experienced is travelling home on a Ryanair flight from Riga after a weekend of crazy drinking. Full of other stag parties, rotten hangover, hideous journey.
Few things in life are better, however, than sitting on a train for a few hours with mates and some beers, to a destination in Britain.
So could do the train/beers thing via the magic of the Eurostar, but combine it with Belgium.
