The Nexus 4 is now down to £159/£199 (8 GB/16 GB). That is ridiculous value.
That is all.
I'm really out of touch.
Hence 24 month contracts everywhere.
is it possible to just buy a handset that just sends and receives messages, and you can make and receive calls. maybe play snake?
into one easy monthly payment
contract runs out next week. are we saying giff gaff is best for sim only?
e.g. unlimited texts and data but fairly stingy minutes is perfect for me but might be shite for someone who actually phones people.
I bought the phone a few months ago and thought it was good value at £280! Slightly miffed if I had waited a bit could have saved £80 but that's the way things go.
So my 23rd July purchase is no use.
I'm not bothered though. As Bookshelf says, it was still good value when I got it and it's just the nature of technology. And my old phone was doing my nut in.
But yeah I am over it. My mate who bought one before me probably won't be over it, he's a penny pincher of the highest order.
buying phones outright is the way to go
I have 4 months left to go on my contract (with Tesco, currently got a Blackberry that barely works).
Would I be able to use that sim card and still get all my minutes, data, texts etc for the remainder of the contract if I were to buy the Nexus and stick it in that?
you can cut it up to match. but the nexus sometimes is picky about what chopped sims it likes to work with. my mate got stung like that.
When it did arrive I compared it with my attempt and was maybe half a mm out on one side, and the phone wouldn't take it.
More my fault than the phone's, for sure, but a cautionary tale.
going to try and get a microSIM from Tesco, they seem to do them.
might give that a shot then if tesco play hard to get
I'd tap up Tesco for a replacement, seeing as you're still in contract - a phone should last for the life of the contract.
Even if you don't use it cos you're planning on getting a Nexus, the new BB will have way better resale value than your existing used BB.
I've scratched the screen slightly that I know of but that doesn't affect it.
All the top three buttons have either come off or no longer work, and the casing is coming away from the let side of the screen - don't think I'm to blame for these. And in general it runs so ridiculously slowly it's almost unusable except for the most basic of tasks.
My phone has been stuck in flight mode for 6 weeks and orange refuse to help. The cunts
Done the old factory reset, before some geek suggests it
